We have to hand it to Nina Badric: the woman knows how to keep busy. When she isn’t seeking legal advice to prevent stalkers from harassing her and modeling for shoe companies, Croatia’s Eurovision 2012 contestant finds plenty of time to make public appearances.

Nina recently sang “Happy Birthday” at a gala to mark the 100th anniversary of the Excelsior Hotel in Dubrovnik. The birthday party attracted lots of famous artists, both local and international. The surprise guest was Bryan Ferry, the English singer-songwriter, whose genteel style fit well with the refined Excelsior and City of Dubrovnik. Longtime hotel manager Jasna Durkovic got emotional at the event: “The soul of a hotel isn’t found in its luxury rooms, but in the people who have, for decades, built the name of Excelsior.”

We are pretty sure that includes Nina. The hotel wouldn’t have survived its first century without Miss Badric, who has been a frequent guest every summer. To show her thanks our diva entertained numerous dignitaries at a cocktail party held on the eve of a concert inspired by The Great Gatsby, which Bryan Ferry did the music for. “Here everyone knows what I like, and my habits,” Nina said. “Isn’t it amazing to find such a hotel?!”

In addition to Nina and Bryan, there was also another treat worth mentioning: a cake made out of cupcakes and litres of Moet & Chandon champagne! Perhaps liposuction will be the next stage in Nina’s celebration…

Here’s Nina singing Happy birthday to Excelsior. Enjoy!
