For weeks our readers have been moaning that Switzerland has gotten it seriously wrong with its national selection for Eurovision 2014. SRF, the German-language broadcaster, gave us 159 choices for its three spots in Die Grosse Entscheidungsshow. Yet they went for the three most boring options, each of which makes Pernilla from Finland seem like a party animal. Fingers crossed that eliminated contestant Gosia can at least sing for her home country Poland instead!
In any case, we still want Switzerland to field the best song and contestant that it can. Below you can listen to the six acts still in the running to sing for Switzerland at Eurovision 2014. Then vote in our poll and let us know who you think deserves the ticket to Copenhagen. This poll closes on January 30, just ahead of the February 1 final. You can vote for as many contestants as you’d like, but you can only vote one time.
****Update: This poll is now closed. Click here for the results!****

3forAll, AllTheWay :3
Yasmina with ” I Still Believe ” is the best! Please Switzerland choose her! Greetings from Greece!!!
Hola soy de la espana, y pienso que el chico tiene su punto 😉 , primero de hablar aprender que significa cantar y que significa que es musica, BRAVOOOOOO NINOOOO
My TOP 6
1. Christian Tschanz – Au Paradis
2. 3ForAll – Together Forever
3. Yasmina Hunzinger – I Still Believe
4. Sebalter – Hunter Of Stars
5. Natacha & Stéphanie – Une Terre Sans Vous
6. Nino Colonna – La Luce Del Cuore
yeah, 3forAll doesn’t have the best lyrics, and I actually prefer Sebalter (made my mind), but cut them some slack, for it’s exactly the same theme that the likes of Dina Garipova and Yasmina are touching. Only this time is wrapped on a club sound rather than a syrupy ballad. IMO it’s better that way. Won’t do much fo rthe lyrics, but I can easily stand more for them than for Dina or Yasmina.
The lyrics are horribly cheesy, yes. But this is nothing new for Switzerland. Remember “If We All Give a Little,” or even the song from this year? And the sound is definitely not dated…
Is 3ForAll really topping this survey or am I hallucinating? Has everybody lost their marbles? Guys, for f**k’s sake, LISTEN TO THE LYRICS. This is cringeworthy to levels unknown of since Piero and the Musicstars. Lame is not enough to define it. Everything – from the name of the band itself to their outfits – reeks of outdated.
as long as they send a EDM/Dance song,i’ll support Switzerland
lol i like how all the people in here think that its sad that gosia and her super ultra mainstream song which sounds like anything else didnt make it through… come on, get out of your gay comfort zone wiwibloggs, theese 6 are all super songs!
I do not like them 🙁 Maybe 3 For All as a guilty pleasure, but it’s like it’s trying to sound like Romanian dance music or something 🙁 I picked Yasmina for her voice & Sebalter cause his song is a bit unique, but mehh. Early prediction: no final for Switzerland XD
3ForAll – No depth. Nothing in their voices grabs you. Plus one absolute rule is an accordion means it’ll be awful. Nino Colonna – A bit of personality in his voice, but just a bit. And the songs really boring. Yasmina Hunzinger – She’s got a good voice. She over-does it in places but she’s got it. The song is a yawner (like Bonnie Tyler’s entry) but with a good song, she could do pretty good. Christian Tschanz – He doesn’t sing well, but his voice has a ton of personality and emotion. Definitely a wildcard that could do well,… Read more »
1-Sebalter (not a super strong song, but Switzerland didn’t have one of those. It’s catchy, well written, nice tunes, great instrumentals. He has a bit of a Sinplus syndrome, but they got better and he’ll get better) 2-3 for All (the beat is amazingly addictive. Great floor stomper. Lyrics are sub-par, but you didn’t say the same when that theme is applied to waily ballads. ) 3-Christian Tzchans (As beautiful and artistic this song is, it will fly pass voters’ heads and maybe the judges’ as well. ) 4-Nino Colonna (Rather weak song, but he owns it and performs the… Read more »
I forgot:
5) La Luce Del Cuore: Now this is a true piece of country-rock-esque song sung in Italian but lacks strength and does not connect to me that much. I also don’t think this kind of song is what ESC fans want to hear (or should I say “see”?) on the Eurovision stage?
3 For All 😀
I think the right question should be “Which song should represent Switzerland in 2014?” … we tend to look a lot of at the performer rather than the song itself, and our eyes tend to deceive us from what our ears should depict first and foremost. Having said this, here’s my opinion on the songs: 1) Together Forever – Awful and amateur. Mixing a Swiss accordion with Latin beats is ridiculous. 2) I Still Believe – Could have been a great ballad, but the lyrics are just over-the-top cliché (in the likes of what Russia did this year) and the… Read more »
Ok, I’ve changed my vote, after listening to one song a couple times, I’ve realized that “Une terre sans vous” is actually quite good and my new favourite. Hope this one wins!
Did someone dare Switzerland to come last? They’re all terrible, except for Sebalter “Hunter of Stars”, I quite like the whistling. As for the rest, the only one that stood out for me was Yasmina’s “I Still Believe”, purely because it’s a rip off of Russia 2013 (which in itself was a ripoff of sorts).
I agree with everyone, Switzerland just ruined their chances to make it to the final next year, I don’t think any of these entries will pass the semifinal
It has to be 3ForAll. Some of the other choices are nice, but they’ll rake in about as many votes as Il Pleut de l’Or did. This one actually has the chance to get Switzerland to the final (and in my opinion it’s way better suited for Eurovision than Gosia’s song as well). “Together Forever” is catchy as hell, and has a flavorful, traditionally-inspired sound.
bad year for switzerland. they got rid of all the good songs 🙁
To be honest I dislike all of them and I’m 99% sure whatever is selected won’t make it to the final. However, if I had to pick a favourite it’d be “I Still Believe” by Yasmina Hunzinger.
Whichever is selected probably won’t get through…
Note to the Suiss participant: saturday 10th of may you will be home! Sorry, but only 3ForAll is a little bit okay, others a just crappy songs!
