Ladies and gentlemen, Croatia may be back in business! According to Croatian website dnevnik.hr, HRT is in negotiations with newly formed boy band Lines and Colours about their participation in Eurovision 2014. It is still unofficial as HRT haven’t responded to any of the rumors spreading throughout Croatia nor denied their withdrawal from the contest so read this article with caution. All that remains is to wait until January 7th when the official confirmation date ends.

Filip, Igor and Sasa are members of the new Croatian band that has already attracted the attention of local media. Organizers believe that after a series of failures Croatia could have success with the group.

The band may be new but it has already collaborated with many singers and composers throughout Europe and America. Sean and Alex Silverman from American pop-rock band This Century collaborated with Lines and Colours in their debut single. Colby Wedgeworth who is famous for his collaboration with Taking back Sunday and numerous indie pop artists, did the mixing.

Trevor Dahl, who is known for  collaborations with One Direction, currently resides in Zagreb where he’s working with the band on the new material. We can expect literally anything from these guys!

The band has only one single released entitled Beautiful Addiction, which currently charts well in the whole Balkan region. It talks about eternal theme – love: the feeling we all once had and lost, and at the end of the invincibility, which finds its way through all the difficulties and obstacles that life puts in front of us. OMG that’s so awww!

UPDATE:Lines and Colours,in collaboration with another band Plug In Stereo, surprised all of the fans for Christmas with an evergreen mash-up video. What a gift!

Are they good enough for Eurovision? Do they remind you of A Friend in London from Denmark?

Oh wow, not far from something you’d hear on American radio. They sound great, but hopefully they don’t end up with a song that is too generic that it would become forgotten in ESC. It would be awesome if this is true :)!!

Wow, this is amazing. They could easily proceed to the final. C’mon Croatia, please rethink your decision!

If Franch audience chose the french boyband among the three artists, we could have a battle between baybands in Eurovision. Let’s see…
The guys sound good, if live they keep the same quality, Croatia will be in grand final.

Croatia, as long as you don’t ruin the live performance you might have something with these boys! But, I’ve also heard that HRT is going to sit out this year and internally select them in 2015- I hope not! 🙂
