YLE, Finland’s state broadcaster, published the jury performances of the first six acts of this year’s UMK, the Finnish national selection, last Saturday. Now it’s time to present the final six entries in full. Next week we’ll post more information about the last six acts, like we did for the first six.
I’m pleasantly surprised by how good some of these songs actually are. This heat is much better than the first one. Please note that these are just demo versions of the songs. Re-mastered versions will be played on New Year’s Day, 1st of January on Radio Suomi. Let me know what you think of the songs in the comments section below! Who do you want to win UMK 2014?

1. MIAU with “God/Drug”

The only new until here is Miau. The others, we all listened a lot of times before.
Softengine. Period. Lets continue with the other countries.
Miau is hilarious and my Finnish friend says the judges liked it LOOOOOOL! I like Mikko, Dennis & Softengine. Surprisingly Softengine is pretty decent. Maybe lose the screamo (which is hardly there anyway) to tone it down a bit, but I like their rock song!
MIAU with “God/Drug” has to win, it’s amazing. Fabulous
Sängyn reunalla – Nice and pretty song, a little too slow for my taste though. He has a very nice voice. Selja – The woman has a very nice voice and I like the verses but the chorus is a huge let down. Isn’t that supposed to be the best part? God/Drug – This is slightly scary and I don’t like it.
