January can be a tough month. You feel like a greedy slob after Christmas, you’re new year’s resolutions are almost abandoned, and Eurovision is still ages away. But fear not, Donny is here to send those blues packing.
For those of you who need something to aspire towards, look no further than the promo video for his latest single Iškelk Rankas. The song itself isn’t overly special. It’s catchy but doesn’t veer far from the usual EDM/pop formula. But the video, well that’s something to marvel at. Made up entirely of stills showing Donny doing various stunts topless, it can only be properly appreciated in full screen. Phwoar! I’m glad to see we’re all benefiting from his gym sessions. Whether you want to be him or simply want him, it’s the perfect motivation to ditch the carbs.
Those of you who are less superficial may prefer the video for his previous single Artoju Himnas. Its quirky rather than steamy, and tells the story of a group of misfits who bond over their love for Donny’s music. It’s a poppier sound than his current cut and more memorable. But once again, slightly generic.
Hasn’t the boy done good? From annoying dweeb in Baku, to hulking adonis. What do y’all think?
