As STAR TV reports, Marinella, the first singer to represent Greece in the Eurovision Song Contest, back in 1974, will return to the Eurovision arena. She’ll sing in the Greek national final as a special guest to help mark the 40th anniversary of the country’s first participation. This talented singer sang “Krasi, Thalassa Ke T’agori Mou” at The Dome, Brighton, where she finished 11th with 7 points. That year, ABBA won the trophy.

The Greek final promises to be a star-studded affair, following the trend set at last year’s national final, “EUROSONG 2013 – a MAD show”. Helena Paparizou, as well as Koza Mostra feat. Agathon Iakovides, who represented Greece last year, will attend the show. According to DT/NERIT, it is a unique chance to advertise our counrty abroad, with the Greek EU Presidency having started.

In the meantime, Kostas Martakis and Kristallia seem to have confirmed their participation. You can learn about them here.
