Earlier this morning Natasha St.Pier, the host of France’s Eurovision selection for 2014, was a special guest on the radio show “Le Grand Direct des Médias”. She revealed snippets of the three songs bidding for Eurovision. The previews last just 30 seconds, but they are already stirring a bit of French Eurovision fantasy in La Maison de Wiwi. Je les aime!

The songs will be released in full on Sunday at 4:30pm during Natasha’s show “Les Chansons d’Abord”. The voting lines will officially open and the public will have until February 23 to cast their votes.
For the first time in French Eurovision history, all of Europe will be able to help France choose its entry. It can be done by casting votes via SMS or directly on the France 3 website.

I’m actually surprised by Twin Twin too. :O I was unfairly expecting something tacky. I like it! All of them are not too bad. It’ll be interesting to see who wins the ticket 🙂 I’m hoping for Joanna still, but wouldn’t be too miffed if she doesn’t win.
1. Joanna – Nice ballad, nothing really great about it but it’s the best from the choices.
2. Twin Twin – Not really my style, but it’s ok.
3. Destan – It’s horrible, like really bad.
In conclusion, I don’t think France will be doing too well this year.
Twin Twin have the best song by a long way.
Joanna’s song is ok, but a bit bland. France have sent bland ballads before and it hasn’t really worked. Also, her voice doesn’t seem that fantastic.
Destan – I feel bad saying it but it’s awful. Tacky boyband rubbish.
It’ll be a close call between the other two for the French, but have a feeling that they’ll send Joanna.
I sincerely want Twin Twin to win this. I love Joanna, but her song is not original. It doesn’t really stand out. Too bad..

ESC has a huge teen audience. Sweden sent Eric Saade(20) thanks to Swedish teens. Also Roberto Bellarosa (18) was 3rd in Swedish votes, thanks to Swedish teen again. So, if France wants points and achieve top 10-15 instead 20-26 they should send Destan. Ma Liberte will be one more fogettable ballad.

Joanna should win! The rest of the songs are dreadful I was expecting a little morefrom Joanna but hopefully she will make small aspects to the song!
People are quick to give the first place to Joanna; it’s the only one with a complete song out there.
I really think it should be a battle between the classic entry from Joanna (not a perfect one, but it grows) and the fun alternative of Twin Twin (I don’t think they’ll be a joke entry like many say. France 2007 feels more of a joke than them). I feel they may be tired of the likes of Joanna and go for Twin Twin.
Destan shouldn’t have any points of the French know what they’re doing. Terrible
As I expected: Joanna with her powerhouse vocals and a stunning dramatic ballad. Then a French answer to any boyband out there these days … half in English and half in French sounds awful to me. And according to this snippet, the song is just average. Then Twintwin … the first 5 or 6 seconds of it told me immediately “awfuuul”. Prediction: If any of those 2 wins, France will not be among my favourites because the songs do nothing for me, but I am pretty sure the French “moustache” will please many ESC fans for reasons that it’s worthless… Read more »
