Clarissa and Josh Standing—one of the eight acts competing in Finland’s #umk14 final tomorrow evening—have turned up the volume on their Eurovision bid. They’ve released a fierce new video for “Top of the World”. Clarissa wears hot pants and spends much of the video on her back. But don’t worry: she gets up so that she and Josh can throw down their signature dance moves.
Josh and Clarissa changed their costumes between heat one and the semi-final, and we wouldn’t be surprised to see further changes tomorrow. Speaking to wiwibloggs.com ahead of their heat, Clarissa said that styling plays an important part in their act. “On stage I dare to be more brave than in private,” she said. “I want glorious clothes which support the style of our show.” The video seems to be part of that evolution.
Are you feeling the video? And how do you think they’ll fare tomorrow evening in Helsinki? Regardless of how they do, we’re fairly certain this song will chart in Finland. It makes us move!
