You’ll have to wait a few more hours for the confetti to fall at Melodifestivalen. But the odds for the first semi-final are already dropping. The bookmakers have watched the one-minute snippets, read your catty comments, and glanced over our reviews of the second rehearsal. Here are their favourites.
YOHIO and Helena Paparizou currently have the lowest odds of finishing in the Top 2 and heading direct to the Friends Arena. YOHIO has odds as low as 4/9, while Helena has odds as low as 11/13. They are the only two acts with odds <1. If these two don’t qualify this evening, jaws will drop. (And Helena bring her wedding forward).
On the flip side of things, Sylvester Schlegel and Mahan Moin appear to have no chance of making the final—or the second chance round. She has odds as high as 33/2, while he has odds as high as 49. Ouch.
