Better late than never. Having left it until the final day to confirm their participation, Slovenian broadcaster RTVSLO has finally disclosed the details of how they’ll choose their singer for Copenhagen. They’re bringing back the EMA national final! We can now reveal the artists who will be competing on 8 March.
Finalists
Bilbi
Muff
Nermin Puškar feat. Samuel Lucas
Nude
Omar Naber
Rudi Buchar feat. Elevators
Tinkara Kovach
One standout name y’all will know from this list is Omar Naber. He represented the country in 2005 with his entry “Stop”, finishing 12th with 69 points in the semi-final. The artists were chosen by a panel of musical experts, consisting of Misa Molk (editor of EMA), Darja Svajger (professional musician and singer) and Andrea F. (radio music editor, musician and producer). The songs have yet to be confirmed.
The winner of EMA 2014 will follow in the footsteps of Hannah Mancini, who finished last in the semi-final with her entry “Straight Into Love” last year at Malmö.

Great to see Omar Naber having another go …. he’s a terrific performer now, saw him in London a few times in the last couple of years and his vocal is amazing. He seems a more assured performer now. The band Muff are very cool too … surely douze points for their name alone 🙂
Aw man! No April :'(
No names as good as “The Fuckeleles” from Belgium’s national selection, but Nude is quite the interesting one.
does this mean that April will not represent Slovenia?
Lol at some of then names: Muff, Nude & Elevators hahaha. Should be good! Thought we were going to see April in the line up.
