Another week, another six semi-finalists in Hungary’s A Dal 2014. The six contestants who have survived the quarterfinals are: Dénes Pál (pictured), New Level Empire, Fool Moon, Gigi Radics, Mystery Gang and Honeybeast. And no: we did not make any of those names up!
As you’ll remember, 10 acts perform. Then Hungary lets the professional jury send through the first three acts. The jury’s top picks were:
Dénes Pál – “Brave New World”
New Level Empire – “The Last One”

Fool Moon – “It Can’t be Over”
Then the phone lines were opened and the public had to express itself. It decided to send through the following three acts.
Gigi Radics – “Catch Me”
Mystery Gang – “Játssz Még Jazzgitár”
Honeybeast – “A legnagyobb hos”

Mystery Gang is almost as horrible as the Maltese ‘Coming home’ and the MF-2nd-semi-5th-placed ‘Hallelujah’ which is absolutely not a compliment…..
Honeybeast is the best!!
Gigi was horrible. Tho song is a sh*t and the perormance was weak. Last year she was way much stronger. Linda Király should went trough!
Surprised that Gigi got through, as I felt her song this year was not as good as her song last year, but I’m happy for her. What I’m really disappointed in is that the jury, which picked three of my favs last week, ranked the very boring “Brave New World” over New Level Empire and Fool Moon!! They were still in the Top 3, but this does not bode well for future qualifications in A Dal….Still have my fingers crossed for “The Last One”
Seriously!?!? Fool Moon crap over Linda Kiraly art!?!?!? I’ve given up on A Dal ????
I’m happy Gigi qualified, but very sad Linda didn’t. Didn’t really care for any of the others in this semi.
