The last of the 4 Melodifestivalen deltavlings—and for sure one of the toughest—will take place at Örnskvlksvg this Saturday. Apologies for the Lynda Woodruff moment. It’ll actually take place in Örnsköldsvik, and more specifically the Fjällräven Center. Melodifestivalen veterans Alcazar will sing against teen idol Anton Ewald, as well as the charming Janet Leon. Srebrenko – How could you dismiss all the songs just based on their lyrics? That’s only 1/4: Lyrics, vocals, music, performance. Anyways, the quality of the songs this year isn’t the best we’ve seen, but I don’t think it’s necessarily bad. In every semi-final so far, I’ve liked at least two of the eight, and all it really matters is to like one song overall. I’m really rooting for Janet after she was (unfairly) eliminated last year, just because of her shaky vocals. None of the lyrics seem interesting to me. Weak festival this year. There is only one good song – Undo by Sanna Nielsen. But, on the other hand, Romanian “Selectia Nationala” seems to be the strongest national selection this year with the best songs, better than those already selected for Eurovision.
