If our readers are right, then Kállay-Saunders is Running, Running, Running to a win in Hungary’s A Dal 2014.

Last year’s runner-up—who actually won the jury vote—won our poll in a landslide. He captured nearly one in every three votes. His stunning vocals and good looks played a part. But so did the powerful message of his song, which reminds people there is a way out of abuse. As he told us: “I would like for children to know that they don’t have to be afraid to speak up and ask for help.”

Bogi came second with her song “We all”. She earned 15% of all votes with a song that encourages all y’all to live your lives now. As she sings: “I don’t wanna run, run away so far I don’t wanna hide, hide away my scar, I don’t want a heart that can fall apart, Just live my days.”

Viktor Király, who looks a lot like Michael Buble, came third with 14%. He’s been working the PR circuit, and recorded a version of his song “Running Out of Time” with American rapper DMC.

I’m sold on Kallay. Fool Moon and Level Empire are also good

As long as it isn’t Viktor. His song is not that interesting.

Well, anything would be better than 2013

A meaningful song, delivered by a charismatic singer. I’m sold on András Kállay-Saunders’ “Running”. That being said, there are other great songs in this final as well. Hungary should be proud of A Dal this year. 🙂

A Dal has been surprisingly strong this year as many other national finals seem to be having their weakest years. I like Viktor’ but I feel like his song doesn’t have a lot of replay value. Already, I feel pretty meh about it. It’s not a bad song at all, but will it hold everyone’s attention in the long stretch to May? Andras Kallay-Sanders or New Level Empire would be the best choices. Lots of replay value, catchy, and will get people out of their seats and dancing (and voting!). I love Fool Moon as well, it’s in my top… Read more »

Depresszió is the favorite of the audience. Sanders is the favorite of the jury.

For me, it’s got to be Kállay-Saunders or Viktor; I think either of them could potentially win the whole thing. I also like Bogi, but I think that her vocals would need to be a bit stronger to stand a chance.

ESC this year so far seems like a disappointment in the making. Will this be the first year I don’t watch because there is not a single country I’m rooting for?

Honestly I think that Hungary can win this year’s ESC.
All songs that has been chosen already are not that great and the national finals that are running right now are not that strong (not even MF has great songs this year).
If Hungary sends “Running” or “Running Out of Time” for me it’s great because I love both songs and I think that both can win this year’s ESC 😉

Kallay-Saunders – well-delivered, well-sung, well-staged. The song could have stronger melodies, but the melodies do really bring out the pain described in the lyrics. Bogi – Slightly weak vocals, and the lyrics could be better, but it’s a neat, colorful song. Viktor Kiraly – Probably my favorite. Very well sung and staged, and a catchy, agreeable song. New Level Empire – I can’t tell what this guy is saying half the time, and his vocals could be better, but the song sounds great! Fool Moon – Now this one is really neat. It’s one of the most musically interesting of… Read more »

My top three too, except in a different order:
1- Bogi
2- Viktor
3- Kallay-Saunders

I think Bogi might not be able to do well in Eurovision, but I do love the song and the whole performance. Viktor and Kallay-Saunders both would definitely do well, but I prefer Bogi’s song over theirs.

bogi is clearly the best choice for hungary.
