Alcazar are a dynamic trio on the stage, and best friends off of it. We caught up with the group—that’s Therese Merkel, Lina Hedlund, and Andreas Lundstedt—ahead of their March 6 rehearsal for the Melodifestivalen final. They packed a whole lot of fabulous into 1:20. They send love to their British fans. Therese and Lina tell us that they don’t mind sharing Andreas. And the ladies confess that Andreas is their gay daddy! We’re kind of in love with them. I absolutely love Andreas though I can’t stand Alcazar … but addressing him as a “gay daddy” even coming from the girls I find this quite reductive and not flattering. If anyone ever bothers to truly see Andreas beyond his sexuality, you will find not only a talented singer but a warm-hearted human being.
