I think Montenegrian version is much better…
I think this song is way more beautiful in Montenegrin 🙂
Hi. Does anybody have the lyrics of the montenegrim version?
I love this song.
Beautiful song (and video), prefer the Montenegrin version
I think the montenegrin version is better but i also do think you’ll have more voters if you decide to sing in English. It’s a difficult decision.
I can’t decide!!!! the english version is so beautiful but the montenigrim is so powerful, but the lyrics in the englis version!!! I need to find a translation of the montenigrim, I guess they are good also but it is nicer to hear something you understand….. I’m in conflict
in English, the lyric is beautiful too but lack of the deep feeling like Montenegrin version is… prefer Montenegrin than English….
Please sing in Montenegrin. It isn’t a complete Balkan ballad unless it’s sung in a native Balkan language 😛
Seeing as I don’t speak Montenegrin, I’m biased towards the English because the lyrics are so nice! But I love both versions, so I’m happy! 🙂
Both versions are great but I prefer Montenegrin.
@Mex
They might be furious …. But Dana actually deserved to win, still one of the most memorable winning songs ……
And I agree with most of you Montenegro shouldn’t sing in English, where as Macedonia did the smart thing picking the English version since It is kinda well polished with some parts that could and will be modified.
Montenegrin. Period. And as for those below me wanting Macedonia to sing in Macedonian, the country made its Macedonian language march from 2009 till 2013, it’s time for them to march otherwise. And it’s a pop song for them this year, so English is acceptable. When being there (Macedonia), ESC always underestimates that country’s efforts. They had power Balkan ballads in 1998 & 2002 (more ethno), but no one cared to notice. They had smashpop song in 2000 (OK, they sang awful), but no one noticed (years later, everyone freaks out about similar songs BUT from countries other than Macedonia).… Read more »
The English lyrics (and pronunciation) are good .. effectively conveying complex emotions with understated poetic language.
Understanding the words sung in time with the music does add appreciation if one is paying attention, but I don’t think the televoters will pick up more than they could have guessed anyway.
I say Montenegrin for the contest, and let those who are interested seek other versions.
He’s hot! 😀
Sergej brate, ostavi na crnogorskom i u?ini nas ponosnima! Bez obzira na sve, ponosni smo na tebe i navijamo svim srcem. Pozdrav iz Hrvatske
Don’t make the same mistake like Macedonia last year and Tijana this year. English generally ruines Balkan melodies as both don’t blend too well. Same goes for Baltic languages as well.
Montenegrin, Please 🙁
See…this is the problem with ex-yugo countries…their songs are great in their own languages, but the differences in sound and rhythm cause them to sound super, extra cheesy in English. Not to mention that it’s not a translation, it’s just an English text pasted on the melody. This English version is just plain awful!
he will ruin everything magical in the song if he sings it in english. he will qualify to the final if he sings in montenegrin. please dont sing in english!!!!
I like the English version MORE
Sergej, don’t make the same mistake as Tijana(FYROM) made! :/
