It may be mere hours away, but we finally know all the details for Unser song fur Danemark. By the looks of things the show is gonna be wunderschön!
Here’s the running order which was decided earlier today:
- 1. Das Gezeichnete Ich – Weil Du Da Bist // Echo
- 2. Oceana – Thank You // All Night
- 3. Santiano – The Fiddler On The Deck // Wir Werden Niemals Untergehen
- 4. MarieMarie – Cotton Candy Hurricane // Candy Jar
- 5. The Baseballs – Mo Hotta Mo Betta // Goodbye Peggy Sue
- 6. Elaiza – Is It Right // Fight Against Myself
- 7. Unheilig – Als Wär’s Das Erste Mal // Wir Sind Alle Wie Eins
- 8. Madeline Juno – Like Lovers Do // Error
However, this will only apply for the initial round of voting, during which all eight artists will sing their first song. The German public will then decide which 4 acts progress to the next stage of the contest, where they will perform their second song. In the third and final round of voting, the top two from the previous round will perform both of their songs once more, with a combination of public and jury votes deciding which lucky act will become the German entry at Eurovision 2014. Phew! That’s three rounds of voting in just 2 hours, those Germans sure are organised.
Aside from the competition we can also expect to see an appearance from Emmelie de Forest, as she continues her tour of the national final circuit – seriously, it feels as if she’s performed at almost all of them. She will open the show with her 2013 winner “Only Teardrops”, and later on she will show up again with her new single “Rainmaker“. Needless to say, we’ll be very disappointed if she forgets to bring along her hunky dance troupe.
In addition, Emma Maronne, this year’s Italian representative, will debut a new Eurovision version of her song “La Mia Citta“. And just in case you forgot you were actually watching the German selection, local singer-songwriter, Adel Tawil, will also be providing some musical entertainment.
The show starts at 20:30 CET and you can watch it live on eurovision.tv.
Will you be watching tonight? Who’s your favourite? Could this year’s winner be g-g-g-g-lorious? Let us know below.
Ok missed the show and very surprised wildcard won … But good surprise … Definitely top 3 material ….
Well done Germany ..
I’m sorry to say this, but that singing from that Italian girl is just dreadful! Italy, what the hell!?
On topic, Germany, that is unexpected. It’s OK, though.
YES!!!
I am so happy right now. I think I may have a new favourite.
IT’S ELAIZA!!
Sad to see Santiano not making it through 🙁 I would take them over Unheilig for the super final. Rooting for Is It Right because its a lot more memorable plus I like to root for the underdogs 😀
@Kerry: The trouble here is that the people are voting for who they like, but are not giving any consideration at all to what the people FROM OTHER COUNTRIES (especially within their own region) like, and who THEY are most likely to give their 12 points to.
Elaiza just looks so happy to be where they are. They cried with happiness each time they progressed to the next round.
I quite like Unheilig! But it’s not very ESC
Elaiza and Unheilig got through.
Elaiza have to win now. If that prick Unheilig wins, I’ll burst my eardrums with a fork.
Crap. 🙁
I like both of Elaiza’s songs, but I prefer Is It Right.
If Unheilig gets through, I’ll be quite annoyed. He and MarieMarie are the two weaker acts.
Oh my god, Madeline didn’t make it into the top 4.
She was shaky at the start of her performance, but I thought she was a shoe in for the next round.
Oh well, Elaiza to win now.
Hoping for some Fiddler on the Deck for Germany!
If Madeline doesn’t win I will be so disappointed. Either one of her songs would go straight to number-one on my list and I think she’d have a very good chance of winning the whole thing. The Baseballs would be my least favourite and the only one I really hate. If Germany chooses them, they’d drop to my bottom three on my list.
Looks like a near-consensus for Madeline Juno. I am among those. Given the sour moods resulting from many of the final outcomes in the Nordic/Scandinavian/Baltic region (I, among them, especially after watching Sandra Nurmsalu get thrown under the bus by the Estonian jury), I’d hate to see the reaction here if she loses.
Error of course, if they want to win ESC. Love that
It has to be Madeline Juno with Like Lovers Do. Honestly one of the best songs I have heard in any National Final this year.
YOU HAVE THE FALSE LIVESTREAM LINK! I am from Germany and USFD will definitely be on ARD: wiwibloggs.com HAS THE FALSE LIVESTREAM LINK. I am from Germany and #USFD will DEFINITELY BE ON ARD(=Das Erste): live.daserste.de/de/index.html#programm
It has to be Madeline Juno’s “Error” there is no other choice.
Sorry, two songs.
So which of their 3 songs will the winner sing in Copenhagen?
This is a good and varied final in Germany. I like the second song by each artist better (with the exception of Das Gezeichnete Ich). Santiano and The Baseballs are the only two artists of which I like both songs very much, especially Santiano. – Das Gezeichnete Ich: Weil du da bist / Echo. I prefer “Weil du da bist”. – Elaiza: Is it right / Fight against myself. I prefer “Fight against myself”. – Madeline Juno: Like lovers do / Error. I prefer “Error”. – MarieMarie: Cotton candy hurricane / Candy jar. I prefer “Candy jar”. – Oceana: Thank… Read more »
Madeline Juno – Like Lovers Do!!!!!!!!! BERLIN 2015
I’m rooting for The Baseballs, I love their retro style and Mo Hotta Mo Betta is so catchy (:
Madeline Juno – Like Lovers do!
Go Madeline!
