Ruth Lorenzo has just released her video for “Dancing In The Rain”, and it’s stunning.

The video, which has been posted on the RTVE website, adds value to a wonderful song that has been contested since it upset rival Brequette’s “Más” in the national final, and hopefully it will help Spaniards finally embrace their talented representative.

Ruth is not only a gorgeous singer, but also a beautiful dancer and and a committed artist. She reportedly lost her voice temporarily after playing mermaid (hello, Copenhagen) with dancer Giuseppe Di Bella under water. Thankfully, she recovered entirely, as she was seen last night performing “I Have Nothing” by Whitney Houston on Spanish TV.

What do you think of the video? And do you think it will help improve her image among Eurovision fans?

I’m not sure I’m jumping off my seat for either the lyrics or the video but she can definitely sing her heavy (can’t we all lose a kilo or five) behind off.

Middle of the road. Overdramatised. I bet Céline Dion would love it. It will probably do well at the ESC and SKY Radio for that matter.

Agreed with D in that I wish there were less “THE RAIN! THE RAIN! THE RAIN!!!!” and she gets too excited. However, this sounds MUCH better overall than what I heard at the national final.

I love this final version!

Soooo proud of her, I don’t care the result in Eurovision. She will do a great performance, and this is enough for me (specially after ESDM… ggg XD)

Ruth is certainly a strong contender and this is one of the best spanish entries in a loooong, long time. (Quédate Conmigo is still my favourite, but Dancing in the Rain comes to a very close second in my book).
I also love this new version, love the subtle arrangements they added, even if now english is more prominent that spanish, but I don’t complain, the song is beautiful no matter the language 😉

I’m sorry but no matter how hard I try I do not like this. She just sounds like she’s screaming at parts and I can’t stand her voice at all. My bottom three.

The new version definitely is better and she is a strong contender this year. The video is absolutely amazing, fit for a song of such proportions. The spanish people should embrace her, after all, she was the televoting favorite and is the one representing their whole country with a powerful song. The one thing she should improve is her vocal technique, as she sounded quite screechy in the national final. Overall, I hope Ruth goes far in Eurovision and in her career. ‘Dancing in the rain’ should most surely earn a top 10 spot on the final night.
