The EBU announced this morning that Denmark’s act Basim will sing his entry, ‘Cliche Love Song’  in 23rd position at the Grand Final on May 10th 2014 in Copenhagen. The host nation’s song has been drawn for a position early as for a second year, the Producers of the show and not fate will decide the running order for the Semi-Finals and Grand Final.

17th-26th positions in the Running Order have proved extremely successful with the last 9 winners all singing in one of these positions. Basim has also seen an immediate leap in his odds of winning the Contest for a second year for Denmark and now sits as 6th likeliest to win the Contest across a range of betting sites.

So what do y’all think? Will Basim’s Bruno Mars stylings see him win a second time for Denmark? Thoughts in the Comments box below!

I predict 20th-23rd place. This song is such a nightmare.
Sorry Denmark, “Only Teardrops” was better!

I agree with D. I would love to see them place 2nd just for the sake of repeating history (1st in 2000, 2nd in 2001) – wow, I didn’t realize they were 23rd in the running order in 2001 too!! IT MUST BE RIGGED!!!!!!! 😀

But yes, what a ridiculously good draw for them. I would have previously agreed with D that it will be in the lower half of the top 10, but now I’m not so sure. It may go as high as 5th?

Well, this draw doe help them but I don’t think Denmark has hopes of win this year. Placing in the top 10 will be a success i guess.

Denmark will place in the top ten, not top five, and not 11th-26th.

Well, I can safely say that now Denmark has really big chances to be among the Top 3 nations in the final this May. I hope it wins, actually, it’s quite amusing and enjoyable song. 🙂

I don’t dislike Denmark this year but it just isn’t my thing . However it’s instantly catchy and most viewers hear the songs first time in final and the will vote for it ..

In Denmark 2001, Denmark sang last 23 rd in final, and they came second. Maybe this year they have same result, as we know that we have lot of ballads and lot of not good song. I predict TOP 5 in final for Denmark.
