Shortly after receiving a financial boost from the Romanian government (the budget now stands at 260,000 Euro), Paula and Ovi started work on their official video for “Miracle”, which will be ready for release on 25 April. Here is a sneak peek.

It appears that the video will start with Ovi singing at the piano in a decrepit, flooded cabin…

He will be then joined by Paula, who will be looking gorgeous as ever.

They will be dancing in the rain… (Will Ruth approve?)

While everything will be brought to life around them:

And Paula will end on a high note:

At least, that’s what we think will happen, based on the behind the scene photos that Paula Seling has shared on her Facebook page. We should also add that the director, Alex Ceausu, is the same man who directed Mandinga’s “Hello” – and we are glad to see that no weapons were involved this time around.

And before y’all cry “Dancing in the Rain” plagiarism, let’s not forget that Ruth didn’t invent this type of dance (hello Gene Kelly) and Paula has already been there, done that back in 2010 on the Romanian version of “Dancing With The Stars”:

What do you think about the new twist on the “Miracle” concept? Are you looking forward to the official video?

Hi Eugene UK. Guess what other ESC entry involved another generic dance song that was actualy good and well perfomed? ‘Only Love Survives’ by Ryan Dolan. Of course this will do much better, even when it doesn’t deserve it at all. I live in a country that year after year gives 12 points to Romania. Are we neighbour countries? No. Do their songs ever become hits here? Never. We just happen to have way too many romanian immigrants. The year Romania sends a good song I’ll be happy to vote for it. Until then, here’s my scorn.

Finaly! I hate the live official ESC video. -.-

I love their 2010 video, no doubt this will be great too! And I’m in love with Paula.

@ WIWIBLOGGS – You know what? Don’t even bother to write an article, as it seems some of the readers are 4-year-olds that only look at the pictures. You actually spelled it out “And before y’all cry Dancing in the Rian plagiarism”… oh man, it must be tiring.

I’m sorry, but if the grass and plants start growing while they scream “IT’S A MIRA-CUUUUUUUUL” I will cringe so hard I’ll probably break something.

Woz..Romania so dated? I guess this is the reason why all Europe dance on Romanian music the last …..many years

Romania as tacky and dated as usual. If it wasn’t for the millions of expats they have across Europe they would never make it to the finals.

They have to make a “stunning” video to balance out how generic their song is.
