Teo from Belarus charmed us in an e-mail interview a few months ago. So when wiwiblogger Deban Aderemi landed in Russia on Saturday for the Russian Eurovision Pre-Party, he headed straight to Teo’s hotel. Forget sightseeing!
Teo explained that he wasn’t bothered about changing his Eurovision lyrics from “I look over Google Maps trying to escape” to “I look over all the maps trying to escape.”
“If I had to pay Google Maps all this money, I wouldn’t have money for Eurovision promotion!” he says.
Teo also said that there is plenty of room for dessert at Eurovision and he hopes Eurovision fans like his song and Latvia’s “Cake to Bake”.
“In the first part of Eurovision they will be hungry for cake,” he says of Latvia’s appearance in the first semi-final. “And then in the second semi-final they will be hungry for Cheesecake!”
Deban has confirmed that Teo is friendly, warm, open-minded, and an all-around cool cat. We hope y’all consider sending Belarus some love in the second semi!
