Margaret Berger, Norway’s Eurovision 2013 Contestant and WiwiBloggs darling will be guest judging Norwegian Idol while Tone Damli is on maternity leave. Berger is the first in a string of stars who will stand in while Damli – who placed 2nd at Melodi Grand Prix 2009 with ‘Butterflies’ only behind Alexander Rybak and ‘Fairytale’ – takes some time to rest.

Idol launched Margaret’s career ten years ago when the Scandinavian songstress was only 18!
Berger told Norwegian Channel TV 2, “I think it’s really fun to be allowed to go back a little in history, and perhaps have the opportunity to find some unique gifts.
“So it’s nice to give back to Idol after all that Idol has done for me.”
Tone Damli sang Berger’s praises: “She’s a cool lady with great flavour and flair. Also, like me, she knows what it’s like to be a contestant.”
In March, Margaret performed her new single ‘Scream’ at the interval of Melodi Grand Prix and handed over the Norwegian Eurovision baton to Carl Espen who will perform in the Second Semi-Final on 8th May 2014 live at the B&W Hallerne in Copenhagen.

Wow! I love Margaret and Sophie Ellis-Bextor, perfect mix!!
I just hope that TV2 will provide a good podcast service, for all of us fans of the lovely Margaret from outside Norway.
