Good evening Europe. This is Brussels calling! After a marvelous ‘Eurosong 2014’ which featured Eurovision diva Ruslana, Belgium has come up with yet another idea to make sure everybody is focused on ESC 2014. For the first time, an ESC fan will announce the points from Belgium during the grand final. MNM, the radio station of broadcaster VRT, launched the contest earlier this week. Applicants must submit a video of no more than 30 seconds. In the video, you have to award three countries fictional points in a creative way. People can submit their videos untill the 27th of April. That’s TOMORROW people.

Three finalists will be chosen on the 28th, 29th and 30th of April on the MNM radioshow ‘De Grote Peter Van de Veire Ochtendshow‘. Those three will then square off in the finals on the 6th and 8th of May. The lucky winner will then present Belgium’s votes to a live audience of 120 million people. Be sure to get your hair done…

Although not confirmed, it’s very likely that VRT came up with the idea thanks to the unknown Flemish guy ‘Thibault van Geet’. Around Febuary, he launched a short clip (and Facebook page) on Youtube called ‘Thibualt for Eurosong’. In the clip he stated that he wants to be the person who reads the points for Belgium in the final.

The Belgian press soon picked up on the video. And it didn’t take long before VRT manager Philip De Tender saw it. VRT press officer Anneke Ernon soon stated  that ‘normally we choose someone who has a link with Eurovision or has a proven contribution to ESC,  but we have noted Thibualt’s interest‘. Apparently VRT appreciates Thibault’s humour and decided to take it all the way. Let’s just hope that the lucky winner doesn’t pull a ‘Lena 2013‘.Lena points fail

We at Wiwibloggs are totally enthused. Send us your audition-video or comment below with the link to your audition video: we’ll share the best clips on our web site!

@dhani
Just to educate your little mind
“Stop being such a girl/woman”
This is a pretty UGLY thing to say to a fellow man. (Not because it’s ugly for a man to be womanly, but rather it’s just harsh.)

@ dhani
Read your first post you bigoted little person…… Maybe you don’t understand what homophobic means. Buy a dictionary.
Your saying that every gay man in the world talks like a female….. What planet or country have you come from. Grow up.
I’m done answering you now. Sad 🙁

but its true . Almost all eurovision fans are skinny gays, who acts and talks like females.
And eurovision doesn’t belong to the fans! And eurovision isn’t a gay event. Even though the fans struggle to believe it.
Eurovision is a family tv show. Thats just how it is, and Eurovision fans shouldn’t be shown as spokespersons.

I think is a great idea, like a way to reward the most avid fans, what an opportunity for the lucky person who wins! Hopefully more countries will do something like this in the future.

but it’s true. everybody knows it. And Eurovision is a family show, not just for the fans. The fans can have their OGAE thing and present their votes there.

It’s nice plan, but I think it’s not a good idea for every country to do that…

No way! Eurovision fans should not present the voting from different countries!! Then there would be no women, and only slim skinny Gays who talks like females
