Wiwi: Mei Finegold puts the star in the Star of David. Her first rehearsal at Eurovision was a tour-de-force of fabulous. She’s retained much of her fierce choreography from her official music video. Two female dancers support her on stage. They’re all leg and sass and attitude. Perhaps my favourite part was when Mei and her dancers lay prostrate on the stage and she keeps singing. It conveys how love has literally floored her. Her vocals were amaze and her LED is simple-yet-striking. Jerusalem 2015?

Billy: Israel keeps the video-clip style. I would prefer this more if Mei moved more frequently, and if Israel added some fireworks. The background graphics seem similar to a traditional Chinese art, called Shansui painting, which is just great! Very clever use of the LED-screens, Israel! However. I cannot talk about creativity since it’s mostly a repeat of the video…

If you watch the Top 37 fan videos on Youtube, she is in the top 10 of about 85% of them. She has a good televote ranking coming.

@ Med and others – I understand and tend to have a similar feeling about the lack of sufficient votes… but maybe we could be more hopeful and not feel beaten before all is said and done. Let’s not make this a self-fulfilling prophecy 😉
Best to Mei!!!

I love her. I love her song. I love Israel. I’m not from Israel. 🙂

I would certainly cheer for her to get any available points there may be, but she won’t win due to other factors. But hey, this IS a winning material for me. But who cares, Europe won’t vote for her.

So proud of Mei today, it’s all I expected and more. It looks NOTHING like a typical Israeli entry, and for me the most exciting rehearsal so far. FIERCE is the word and Mei is quite a diva. I LOVE the background, and I love the outfits. I think it’s now looking very well for Israel and I think we should be fighting for gold. I know my country suffers from lousy PR and we will not enjoy any neighbor/block/immigrant voting, but we still managed to win 3 times in the past and I think we should always strive for… Read more »

sorry, but I see no problem in praising a good song and a very good live performance. it’s ok if you don’t like it or have an issue with it, but leave Wiwi out of it.

As if Wiwi can control tens of millions European voters…allow me to laugh out loud, please…

You might want to check the jury review page to see that while Israel is 3rd, the Wiwi jury ranked other entries higher even before reviewing the big guns…and besides – if you think Israel has a chance to win, you should go easy on the drugs – there’s no way in hell they’ll win, due to politics and bloc voting.

It’s kinda obvious that Wiwi wants Israel to win this year, they do everything to praise it

Elmo, there were 11 rehersals prior to the Israeli one and 2 after – where did you come up with “Wiwi promoting Israel again”???

I guess they won’t be counting on your vote…

superb performance by Mei. I also liked Sweden and Hungary. Sorry, Armenia just doesn’t do it for me. Aram has a decent song, but that’s it – I don’t feel like hearing it more than once. Sweden, Hungary, Israel, and Norway are songs I want to hear again and again

Israel comes too early in the semi and doesn’t have many countries to draw easy votes from. Still, with 10 out of 15 songs progressing from an easy semi to the final, it shouldn’t be that difficult…

However even if it goes to the final I don’t see how this song is original enough or strong enough to put Israel on the left side of the board.

Wow, didn’t expect that!!! She was borned for the big stage!! She has the vocals and charisma…
Well have to see how the song sounds live, though – Jerusalem 2015? Dunno about that. Unfortunately it is not all about the song…more like about the country :-/
