Patrick: I have no words… This was the best perfromance of the whole day. The story of perseverance in the face of abuse is touching and that story unfolds on the stage through dance. András Kállay-Saunders plays the role of hero, with his soothing vocals and strong arms offering comfort to a victim in need. The staging is amazing, the colours are fantastic and the dancers are unbelievably good. When I watched the performance I kept thinking, “He will win”. I hope I’m right.

Bogdan: András’s voice is perfect. He looks like a demi-god. His song is great, meaningful and modern at the same time. The interpretative dance is innovative (the female dancers starts off as the unassuming piano player) and the dark song ends up on a positive note, with the singer saving the pianist from abuse. “Running” is a perfect combination of winning elements. Great show, Hungary!

Judit: WOWW!!! I’m so proud of András and his song. It has power, emotion everything what we need. Dancers are awesome and tell the story perfectly. His voice is stornger and stronger and I hope in the first semi it will be the best. “Running” has everything what a winner song need, and hopefully Hungary get a well-deserved place in Denmark. I can imagine it as a winner peformance!

If this is so strong as I read comments for it everywhere, I don’t have any reason to say no to winning! 🙂

Not seeing Armenia or Azerbaijan (nor Sweden for that matter, or Norway, or Romania) on the winning spot is a win situation for me. 🙂

I think the battle will be between Andras Kallay and Aram. They have the best songs this year.

@Marcelo N.
I agree with you. I won’t be surprised if this song ends up in 2nd place. I’m not sure about the other two though. I love this song. It’s one of my favorites.

@ Lolilly – I fully see your point. However, it’s high time music did some serious work at ESC, don’t you think? I’ll be exhilarated if this (likely), Same Heart (less likely, though I’d love it to) or Rise like a Phoenix (improbable) reach the very top this year.
I’m all ears [eyes in this case] and best to all!!

I love his voice so much and his vocals are just great! Love the melody and his performance a lot. It’s a very catchy song. However I have a huuuuuge problem with this subject matter. Child abuse??? It’s heartbreaking! I don’t think this subject is appropriate for ESC.

@ bavarson
You must be kidding, Sweden failed?? You must be watching different videos as for Russia god desperate, and Ukraine is hyped pop trash with a hamster wheel.
But good luck too all.

2nd semi final will be more aligned and better

Armenia and Sweden failed. Two empty and static performances. Russia and Ukraine prevail televoting, but the jury will ignore them. Hungary has great chance to win 1st semi final.

I’d be very happy for Hungary to win. He’ll get a vote from me for sure!

I don’t see the relevance of the girl “being too old”….there are scores of fathers who violently mistreat daughters of 17, 18 years old and more……Ladbrokes have cut the odds on this from 20-1 to 12-1 in the last hour……..definite contender!!!!

Now THIS is a choreography that fits and actually heightens the song!! If well televised, it will give us all goosebumps.
He will have to rehearse his butt off, it seems, for the whole thing is looking a bit too large for him. I expect he will live up to it.
GO HUNGARY!!

@ dar
I agree Budapest is a beautiful city and certainly I think that they would be well capable of hosting the contest, Central Europe certainly could do with it, it might also encourage countries like Slovakia and the Czech Republic to return too the contest,
Good luck Hungary 🙂

Great performance one of the best shows!! Only I would like that he had some kind ‘connection’ with dancers ,like I would like him to show more emotion and not just sing. Hope he will do that during main show.

Can not wait for ESC .There are so many good shows !
This year is definitely one of the best years .

Good luck Hungary 😉

Between can not wait to see UK’s rehearsals .Does anyone know when they do it ??

I think this is the best staging, because the dancing actually means something and is so cleverly weaved into the song, especially at the end. People will remember it when it is time to vote.

Wow, he’s a wizard. He can put on and take off his jacket just in a sec. Just kidding. 🙂
I loved the choreography. The girl looks a little old for her age (I know, kids under 16 are not allowed on the stage), but it’s nice overall. BTW, he doesn’t have to literally run just because the song is called Running. They should remove that part.
I hope the next destination is Budapest. He’s been my favorite since the second he’s revealed the song. Good luck András!

I think this year the majority of the people in the back are better than the artists in the front, and this illustrates my point

I really hope they can win this year, this song is amazing! And I usually don’t like Hungarian entries at all (well except 2005 forogj vilag)…. but they deserve it this time! 🙂

This is one of my favorites this year! Hungary have been getting closer and closer to the title since they returned in 2011 and I think this year might actually be there moment! And Andras is such a cool guy with his stylish knitwear!

Now, I never really liked this song, but this is another competent and professional performance from a very good singer.

Which makes them six in this semi based on what I’ve seen from the rehearsals so far: Armenia (if he loses that cringey face pulling that he does), Sweden (pure class), Azerbaijan, Russia, Belgium and Hungary.

That means that four countries that don’t deserve it (from what I’ve seen so far) will also go the final…

If have no problem with Hungary winning this year, it’s a great song with a sincere message. With good camera work the staging can be very effective

Definite dark horse. I worry for Hungary though they traditionally don’t have many friendly neighbours in eurovision.
I think he will outscore Armenia on the night 🙂
Good luck Hungary
