Patrick: Aarzemnieki continues to bake a cake – and it tastes nice. I’m not a big fan of the song because I think it’s crap but this performance is much better than in the first rehearsal. I really like the background and the staging is so cozy and friendly. Vocally they are still bad and the semi is getting closer… Still, not too bad.

shame, the most probably country out of the final in the 1st semifinal
This song will stand out and people will immediately be able to (and want to) sing along. That said, “I Love Belarus” in 2011 had a similar effect and still failed to make it through although it was a nationalistic anthem as opposed to a feel good ditty. I think this has a better than 50% chance of making it to Saturday.
Latvia had so many chances to get into the final. They picked this. Maybe an internal selection would work better, because they keep passing over the good songs in the NF.
I like the background with the lights on the trees, like a village fair.
Other than that, the vocals are weak and the song ultimately forgettable.
Lyrically, this is my favourite song of the contest. I want to sing along every time I hear it. Also they look as if they’re enjoying themselves, which was something missing from the previous act.
