Folks, following the betting agencies could be a full-time job this year, because things keep changing faster than Linda Bengtzing switches outfits on stage!

Following her solid performance in last night’s Semi-Final, Sweden’s Sanna Nielsen is still on top with odds around 1.75 to 2.5:1. Armenia’s Aram MP3 is still clinging to 2nd place, but his odds have widened to as high as 4:1 after an arguably shaky performance last night.

The big surprise is the Netherlands, however. The Common Linnets may have told the Dutch media that they are focused on PR’ing a new album, but they should make sure to focus on their performance on Saturday, because they are now in 3rd with odds as low as 4:1 and only as high as 8:1.

Ukraine has re-emerged as a top favourite, now in 4th with odds hovering between 8 and 9:1.

The UK, Hungary, Denmark, Norway, Austria, and Azerbaijan round out the Top 10.

Do you buy the Netherlands’ sudden surge? And are you still feeling Mariya’s hamster wheel? Is Aram MP3 overrated by staying in 2nd? Let us know what you think!

Armenia is still my number one, no matter what bookies say. I loved this song since when it was presented and i still do.
Aram was nervous in the first semi, that’s why he was out of tune in the beginning, but the rest was flawless. I hope he will improve his performance in Saturday

Hi Armenian Guy, How have you been? It’s me, Deven. How are you keeping? Listen, sorry I didn’t get back to you last night. But yeah, I was a little bit disappointed last night. But today, I laughed it off and said ”Maybe next year.” 🙂 🙂 . Ireland have qualified nearly every other year. As much as I think it is either gong to be London/Vienna 2015, I kept asking people in my class AND around my school to vote for Aram MP3. He is a great singer and he has a great song. I want him to win,… Read more »

“Eurovision” Priority performances of artists show producers was determined after completion of the second semifinal. This is a direct interference in fair fight! Each participant must “pull” your room. begins politics, business, friendship, neighbors and much more ….. Where Song Contest? thing of the past ….. a real winner has already been determined ARAM MP3! Video for the song “Not alone” has 3.5 million hits, live performances, rehearsals biggest quantity view Aram mp3! Who like it, and watch it! Hi Armenian Guy, It’s just me, Deven from Ireland. How are you doing? I’m great and I am VERY excited for the second semi final in 8 minutes from now. I am also nervous as well because Ireland is taking part tonight. I couldn’t feel my legs in my Art exam I was so nervous. But I think that tonight we are going to get out of the semi final. I kept asking people in my school to vote for Aram MP3 and during Gym class today, we were playing football and I was in the goals and because I… Read more »

With all these serious ballads going on Im going to take a moment out in the esc to enjoy France’s song. Yeah its catchy and its a good laugh hey it wont win but its brings happiness 🙂

But back to being serious. I think where there are so many dark horses this year I wouldnt focus on the betting odds now, I think there will be a big game changers Saturday night.

I actually think that my country is gonna win. I know that a lot of ESC fans don’t even have it in their top 10 and that it’s gonna be like Azerbaijan / Russia’s triumph, but a lot of people who don’t like ESC want a not-ESC like song to win. Calm after the Storm is popular on iTunes. The juries love it. I even didn’t have such high expectations from Birds previous year, but this is the Netherlands’ year – also because of the early draw of the standard top10 countries ^_^ Anyway, I’ll be voting UK, Armenia, Ireland… Read more »

Ok, Ryan boy, as you wish. Look, i wouldn’t even react to your comment if it was a (adequate) criticism, but blaming Aram being repetitive, while every other singer has more repeats than him is just %^&*(.i.;) not using foul language 🙂

Jasna, there’s a good chance Greece will get a lot of votes from young people, cos it’s the time of year when 18-30 year olds are going on holiday and want some summer tunes, and that’s certainly what Rise Up is! It’s not my fave song at all, but I think it’s so damn catchy, so yeah, you MIGHT be right. Think something more vocally able will won though, i.e. The Common Linnets or Molly (COME ON MOLLY hahaha!)

Deven, I like your hosting suggestions if uk win, mostly Fearne and Grimmy! What about Greg James and Grimmy though? Greg Hames hosted a programme about eurovision with Russell Kane last year. Maybe Kane could get involved, cos of his sheet charisma. Can be a bit annoying though. All I know is…I WANT THE UK TO WIN SOOOOO BAAAAD….cos I’m British hehehehe!!! Ideally though, if not the UK, I agree, I want The Netherlands to win, The Common Linnets give me chills and imagine how even more attention they could get after their performance?! It’s going to be such a… Read more »

Greece is going to win because its very catchy song and Greece always does well anyway.
Hungary and Montenegro will be in top 5 , thx to the Eastern block and Ukraine will follow.

Ziggo Dome would be perfect, if the dream of seeing the Dutch winning come true. That won’t happen still, but the idea is just great. The underdog goes home with the trophy. That would be a fairytale. If the Netherlands win, that winning will be echoed loud and clear and ESC will gain respect big time.

If anything of this happen. But it won’t. Sadly.

The jury made ??a festival of mediocrity in eurovision.
Latvia – a unique song about baking cakes
Portugal – great live show with drums
Netherlands – typical, mediocre pseudo-poetic gibberish?

Where is the justice? Latvians and Portuguese tried. They won a qualification in their own countries. The Common Linnets have not won any qualifications. But they went to the finals through the jury, because they represent the Netherlands.?

Well, Olsen Brothers, Lordi and Rybak all had pop songs in my opinion. Sure, Olsen Brothers had a simple performance but that was 14 years ago, Eurovision has changed a lot and I don’t think they would have been able to win if they competed this year. Don’t get me wrong, I like Calm After The Storm and it would be fun too see Netherlands getting a victory but it won’t happen. If Belgium failed to get a top 10 result in the televoting 2010, I just can’t see this doing any better.

@T

Not always true, I wouldnt class Fairytale, Hard Rock Hallelujah & Fly on the Wings of Love as either a massive ballard or a big pop anthem,

Fairytale was more folk like
Hard Rock says it all
Fly on the Wings of Love was rather simple like the Netherlands act

Sometimes the song can be about the message or how its performed or anything really.

I can’t belive people seriously think UK, Hungary or Netherlands will win. That won’t happen. I like Netherlands but it’s far too boring to win Eurovision. To win Eurovision you either need to have a huge pop anthem or a dramatic ballad with a great performance. I can see Netherlands getting a result like Belgium 2010 – top 3 among the juries but fail with the televoting. UK’s song is nice but I just can’t see it getting enough of votes from Eastern Europe to win. Hungary will probably get a lot of low scores, but can you honestly see… Read more »

EUROVISION IS NOT ABOUT WHO THEY R & HOW THEY R. IF PEOPLE LIKE THE SONG NO 1 CARES IF SHE IS FAKE OUTSIDE EUROVISION. DON’T MIX EUROVISION WITH HOW PEOPLE R OUTSIDE EUROVISION. BECAUSE THEY DONT MIX THEIR LIFE OUTSIDE EUROVISION WHEN THEY COME TO SING ON STAGE AT LEAST THEY CAN CHANGE FOR A NIGHT LIKE THEY PERFORM. NO NEED AT ALL TO LOOK OTHER THINGS OUTSIDE EUROVISION & GO DEEP INTO THAT. YOU KNOW WHAT? NINE OF US R ANGEL. CHEER UP MATE IT’S JUST A SHOW

I don’t care who wins but please let it NOT be UK!!
She seems like a very unfriendly person and quite snooty! She had little interest in the contest and was always rude talking to people about it ( graham Norton for example).
It looks like she changed quite a lot since becoming one of the favourites but I’m afraid she’s just fake.
None of my friend likes her! ( we’re an international mix)

Bluegrass (and not country … and unlike Linda Bengtzing once said, this is NOT a copy of Lady Antebellum) is not part of the stereotyped list of gay appreciated music genres therefore there was no excitement for a song like this one. Very underrated, very discrete and very calm indeed where feet are not necessary but ears are more than required. Stunning song, beautiful composition and stellar vocal harmonies between both performers. Authentic and believable. While some clowns jump the trampoline for no reason, thank God some people are still respecting the old beautiful art of singing just by singing… Read more »

This is going to change tonight.

@Ryanireland
‘Yerevan! Really.
In all honesty I cannot see it happening, his vocals aren’t great and how many times can you say alone’
Aram repeats ‘Not Alone’ just 8 times and you can’t compare it with Molly 13 times saying that stupid ‘Children of the Universe’ and Can-Linn repeating her ‘My Heartbeat’ no less than 15 times! So cut the bs (again))

Also if you think about it yeah the odds are high but if a country such as UK, Ukraine and Hungary win then whoever betted will make a good amount of money out of this.

The Netherlands, an absolute dark horse.

The top countries are all from semi final 1+UK+Denmark, so I don’t think there’ll be a huge difference come the finals.

I see UK and Denmark upsetting the top 5 majorly though. If Ukraine and Armenia don’t fix their vocals they’ll be in major trouble.

Remember 2000 were two very relaxed and genuine Danish guys with a guitar won Eurovision…. The Common Linnets portray the same honest and authenticity. Serbia with Molitva and Finland with Lordi also created momentum only AFTER their semi final…,

I personally still think UK or Hungary will win. I have never liked the Armenian song although that might just be down to my personal musical taste. If he can bring his A game to the final he may still win as he’s been a big favourite from the start and that should not be ignored. I really don’t think Sweden will win, I think Sweden will always have a lot of fans (which is fair because they put a lot of effort into Eurovision and take it seriously), I just think this years song is a bit boring, but… Read more »

Hi Armenian Guy It will be great. I have never been to Armenia or Yerevan but I believe that it is very historical. Yeah, I really would love Aram MP3 to win the Eurovision Song Contest 2014 on Saturday. He is my favourite singer and I have asked my friends to all vote for him and get behind this guy because I really want him to do well and he deserves. I am thinking about singing ”Not Alone” by Aram MP3 in my school talent show and I want to have bass drummers, violins, the piano and the dubstep. I… Read more »
