As Mandinga were waving the Romanian flag for Paula Seling and Ovi this month, they surprised us all by releasing not one, but TWO brand new music videos. One is for their new single “Sufletul Zambea” and the other is for “Viva la fiesta”, a track from their brilliant 2012 album “Club de Mandinga”. The contrast between the two songs is immense.

“Sufletul Zambea” is a chilled out tune from Mandinga’s latest album. If their other music gets you high, this will bring you back down. It’s calming, soothing, and down-tempo. Most importantly, it lets Elena’s vocals shine.

The second song and music video should come with a warning: it is highly addictive. We have the feeling “Viva la fiesta” will be the summery dance track that pulls us all out of the pits of Post Eurovision Depression. Fans of “Zaleilah” will appreciate that Mandiga have returned to their Eurovison roots. This number is dripping with Latin flava and could help even Debbie Downer get her happy back. Get your iPods out folks. Your summer playlist starts now!
