Nothing about Russia’s JESC 2014 artist has been confirmed, but that isn’t stopping national media from speculating about who will fly the flag for Moscow. Thus far the strongest—OK, the only—report on the matter suggests that The Voice Kids (of Russia) starlet Arina Danilova has already been chosen.

YSIA.com claims that the 9-year-old has given a concernt in Yakutsk, with the proceeds going towards the “recording of her first album and preparing for participation in the international children’s contest Eurovision.”

We’re all for it. Arina became a househould name earlier this year when she took part in the Russian version of The Voice Kids. You can watch her stunning—and adorable and endearing and terribly sweet—performance of “Quizás, Quizás, Quizás” below. Watch her work that paper cup and be amazed. Our 2008 Eurovision winner Dima Bilan certainly was…

Last year Russia placed fourth with the song “Mechtay (Dream On)”.

Ahh the Russian Voice Kids (Dima Bilan 😀 :D) 🙂
Still hoping for a National Final. The Russian and the Dutch ones are always my favourites to watch. So much talented children over there. 🙂

I’m interested but I prefer a selection. Either way, Russia always does well.
