We have photoshopped Conchita Wurst beards on celebrities, an extra spicy Conchita Wurst sausage and even a Conchita Wurst ice cream. Yet some tributes still surprise us. One such case occurred a few weeks ago when the patients of a big health maintenance organization in Israel all got an awkward email instead of the monthly newsletter, entitled: “Are YOU Conchita Wurst?”
When they opened it they discovered a very likeable illustration of the Eurovision winner, followed by a declaration: “Conchita Wurst, the winner of Eurovision 2014, showed us all what a bearded woman looks like: F-a-b-u-l-o-u-s!”
What sounded like a sentence taken from a Eurovision fan site rather than a health care newsletter was soon followed by useful information about sexual identity, sexual preference and the difference between the two. The newletter ended with an invitation for all patients to visit the new “proud clinic”, where all patients are accepted, and where medical care is given by a professional and sympathetic staff.
whaat???? this is disgusting!! How can that be a face of a health campaign??
Conchita is more like an icon than a successful singer. Unfortunately, the “beard” and all the hype around her, is not helping her music career at all.
Hope to see Despina Olympio again perform in Eurovision Song Contest 2015! Go Despina!
Sorry to see Conchita Wurst change from a singer artist to instead only a spokeperson for his message (as is good) of tolerance etc.
This has nothing to do with this but i really want Ariana Grande to represent Italy in eurovision since she is italian and she’s my rolemodel and has an amazing Voice PLEASE ARIANA FOR ITALY EUROVISION 2015
Gotta love the completely out of place comments, supporting countries and/or performers not at all related to the article in question, but oh well.
Not the most favorable illustration of Conchita, I just hope it wasn’t the one used in the email 😛
I can’t wait for Natalia Kelly (2013) to return to Eurovision next year! Trust me, Natalia Kelly is a JILLION times better than Conchita.
