Last weekend, the Romanian city of Galati on the Danube celebrated the longest river in the European Union with a special festival. The final attraction of the “Our Danube” festival was a fireworks display set to Conchita Wurst’s winning song “Rise Like a Phoenix”.

The impressive light show, which took place on Sunday, was orchestrated by Pyrovision, a 14-strong team from Austria who, according to the local press, needed three days to set up their gear and another 100 hours of preparation.

Conchita’s song was the last piece of the 20-minute fireworks show, which you can watch in its entirety here.

@Beccaboo: we all know you think Rise like a Phoenix is awful and you can’t stand Conchita Wurst. How many times are you going to tell it to us us? We’re not dumb. We understood it when you said it for the very first time.

Beccaboo posts hate messages on most blogs about Conchitta. Boring troll? Very sad. Usually I don’t read anything she posts.
