Marco Mengoni, Italy’s suave Eurovision 2013 singer, looks amazing in a Ferragamo suit. But he’s much more than a pretty face. He wowed us with his vocals at Eurovision, and now he’s wowing us with his ability to convey the magic and excitement of singing at Eurovision.
For the summer issue of Spain’s Vim Magazine, Mengoni posed for a photo spread, which you can see below, and sat down for an in-depth interview. Eurovision fans will be pleased to know that he has nothing but love for the contest, and would relish the chance to sing on Europe’s biggest stage again.
VIM: In 2013, you were chosen to represent Italy in Eurovision, and also you helped choose the song for the Spanish group El Sueno de Morfeo. Would you consider singing at Eurovision again?
Mengoni: Yes, because it is a very, very fun. And a world that leaves you a little astonished, because you go that European festival in which all European nations are represented and bring their music. It’s a form of union. Although some things are a little absurd, the organizing is incredible, like it’s NASA. There’s so much emotion. And a lot of fun. I would do it again without a second thought.
Take note, RAI!
