Most people were waiting for Kylie, but after her stellar interval performance at Eurovision 2014 in Copenhagen, all Team Wiwi cared about was Jessica Mauboy’s handover set at the Commonwealth Games 2014 Closing Ceremony in Glasgow.

Not only did Mauboy perform new single ‘I Believe – Anything is Possible’, she also reprised ‘Sea of Flags’, a composition specially written for the 59th Eurovision Song Contest.

Girl slayed and also showed off her showmanship. She may not have the megastar status of headliner Kylie but Mauboy more than punches above her weight.

Mauboy also shared the stage with Eurovision 1969 winner Lulu who unfortunately failed to reprise her winning song ‘Boom Bang-a-Bang’ and instead performed her seminal hit ‘Shout’.

The Australian songstress also performed a wardrobe change that might even impress Kalomira

@Dar I can guarantee that if you were there experiencing it you would be singing a different song. It was 11 days of great sport and the things you mentioned aren’t a theme that is welcome there.

The commonwealth games should just die just like the slave trading, pillaging, culture wrecking that was the British empire .. It’s totally irrevlant now

She also mimed like a pro…unlike Kylie and the rest who performed live.

Mauboy was fantastic. My jaw dropped to the floor when I heard the opening lines of Sea of Flags and I was all like “this is unreal!”
