According to Swedish tabloid Aftonbladet, Måns Zelmerlöw is ready to take part in Melodifestivalen for the third time. Måns took part in Sweden’s biggest schlager festival for the first time back in 2007, when he placed third in the grand final. His song “Cara mia” later won the OGAE Second Chance Contest. He returned to the contest again in 2009 with “Hope & Glory“, placing fourth. Måns’ Melodifestivalen 2014 entry is going to be a proper pop song, says Aftonbladet’s sources.

As we previously reported, the rumour mill of possible Melodifestivalen entrants just keeps on turning — and Aftonbladet has even more names of possible entrants. Sweden’s Got Talent winner and jojkare Jon Henrik Fjällgren is in the game. He might have brought Shirley Clamp to tears, but there’s no place for crying in Melodifestivalen. His song is reportedly a pop song with ethnic flavour, with a bit of humour. Sounds exciting!

Other artists who might be in the race to become Sweden’s next Eurovision representative are Sara Li, Melodifestivalen 2012 finalist with Björn Ranelid, Idol 2010 finalist Linnea Henriksson and Melodifestivalen veterans Magnus Carlsson and Jessica Andersson.

So the damn homophobe who played as Miley Cyrus at the Gay galan earlier this year now wants to try at MF with more hope and glory for a third time? Cara mia cara mia … so much desperation and anguish for such a young man. Wish him maturity, growth both personal and emotional … but Melodifestivalen? ….. No.

In spite of those nasty comments he made earlier this year, I’d like to see Måns back to Melodifestivalen.

I’m fine with Sara Li, provided she doesn’t drag Ranelid along with her…

@Duff – thanks for noticing the mistake! I’ve tried to get that song out of my head so hard, that I already forget which year it took part. 😉

Sara Li was in Melfest 2012. And I don’t know if I ever forgiven Måns for those homophobic comments he made last year
