The official anthem for Junior Eurovision 2014 has just been unveiled. The 2013 winner, Malta’s Gaia Cauchi, premiered the song at a Maltese school.

Ever since she stormed to victory with “The Start” in Kiev, the “little Mariah” references have been never ending. But now the teen is shedding the diva comparisons and channelling her adult counterpart, Eurovision 2013 winner – Emmelie De Forrest.
Not only does “#Together” embrace the event’s slogan… err #together, it also evokes flashbacks to Emmelie’s Eurovision 2014 theme, “Rainmaker”. With the anthemic qualities and tribal chants, it’s clear that the composers (Elton Zarb and Gordon Bonello) and lyricist (Matt Muxu) were taking notes last May.
And the EBU must have liked what they saw too, because just like in Copenhagen, the theme song will be performed as part of the interval act. Gaia will be joined on stage by the 16 contestants, who will each have a part of the song to sing.

Reminds me of Rainmaker, only just more of a dance song. Maybe the contestants will come out on stare as well to sing a a e o, which is worse than Georgia’s oh. God it is AWFUL. But it is a really good song.
