As we already reported earlier today, Conchita Wurst, the reigning queen of Eurovision, released her new single “Heroes” today. And this evening she performed it live on German-language television!

“Wetten das?”, one of the most popular tv shows in the German-speaking regions of Europe, was broadcast from Graz in Austria. As always there were many international celebrity guests on the show, and Conchita shared the spotlight with Hugh Grant and Jennifer Lawrence. She’s definitely A-List now!

Tonight the stage was more glamorous than ever as Conchita performed “Heroes” in front of millions. The stage went foggy and deep blue as if it were an ocean, and it worked well with the song, which is classic and modern at the same time. The magic started the moment Conchita began to sing. She stood there with her ravishing backless black pantsuit, her wig was well placed and the make-up artists did a great job! Everything was perfect—and the audience loved her!

Showmaster Markus Lanz asked her several questions about her rising popularity, her recent meeting with UN Secretary General Ban Ki Moon and her experience at Eurovision. “I still can’t believe the victory and I hope I will believe it next May!” Conchita said.

Andreas Gabalier and Mirjam Weichselbraun, two of the hopefuls to host this year’s Eurovision, stated that they knew Conchita would win the ESC. “I mean look at her, she looks stunning and she is so popular!” said Andreas. At the end the audience sang “Happy Birthday” for the Eurovision winner, as she turned 26 two days ago.

Some say that Conchita has turned into a little bit of a diva, but hey: she won the biggest music competition in the world. She’s allowed to be!

Love conchita but it’s a bad song. It’s nothing more than an album filler – needs better if he wants hits outside of Austria.

Actually it’s a surprisingly powerful song. The production is pretty generic, however you can feel the passion and emotion. Part of me wishes she’d not be so serious, but I respect her message.
