As we reported last night, Malta’s Junior Eurovision 2014 singer Federica Falzon has performed her song “Diamonds” live on Malta’s popular TV program Xarabank. She left the audience — and the other guests — with their mouths open and their hands in pain after clapping, clapping, clapping. This is one of the few songs that actually sounds better live than it does on video! As you can see in the video below, Federica is confident, gives opera a fresh vibe, and she definitely knows how to perform her song. She is owning it! In addition to her song, we love how Daniel, the head of press for Malta, can be seen swaying along in the background—and the fact that even Gaia Cauchi is impressed. Are you as moved? Let us know below!

A chorus of angels flowing from the fabulous voice of a girl 11 years! A true miracle shines as the most precious Maltese Diamond in the world! Phenomenal performance, Federica Falzon! Only tears of emotion and standing ovation! Malta can be proud of such a diamond and deserve to win the second trophy in Junior Eurovision Song Contest !

WOW
I mean WOW
I’m overwhelmed.
This is just… breath-taking.
My favorite is Federica, for sure.

PS I found it adorable how Gaia was also singing the song while she sat behind her.

I did not like the song neither at the beginning, but right now she convinced me that she has a great entry this year ;).

And finally I understood what she sings, because in the video it was not as easy as during the live performance

She’s really talented and live sounds better than studio version but there are many great songs and amazing voices this year. I can’t decide who should win: Ula, Krisia, Lizi, Sympho-Nick, Alisa or Federica.

Only rational analysis helps to know the truth. Maybe this song is a bit too monotonous, but it is more powerful than for example Russia. This is a trump.

Performance: 3/10 (The hand movements are okay.)
Outfit: 10/10 (I want that dress!)
Song: 0/10 (Sorry. “The Start” was better.)
Voice: 0.5/10 (Meaning that it’s annoying! I’d feel better if she sang like Mariah Carey.)
And together, the whole performance is so ANNOYING! >_<
