Jaws dropped last week when Pastora Soler, Spanish musical goddess and Eurovision 2012 singer, announced that she would be putting her career on hold to cope with her debilitating stage fright. Among the startled public were the producers of “Hit – La Canción”, the Spanish adaptation of the Irish TV series.
As Vertele reports, Pastora had only filmed 80% of her appearances for the upcoming season prior to her announcement that she was taking a break. Producers staged an emergency meeting to figure out how to proceed.
Thankfully Pastora — never a shady lady — has fulfilled her committments to the show as a final bow before exiting from the public eye. Vanitatis reports that Pastora returned to the studio last Wednesday and spent four hours tying up loose ends and recording interviews.
Journalists managed to film Pastora at the Seville train station just before she headed to the studio in Madrid. “I will spend a few days with my husband,” she said. “I just want to rest.”
We wish Pastora all the best and look forward to hearing her sing on the show.
