On November 30 ‘The Golden Gramophone’—the most prestigious Russian pop music industry awards—took place in Moscow. Unsurprisingly, but still exciting, was the news that Dima Bilan won an award for his song ‘Malish’, which means ‘Baby’.

But Dima wasn’t the only ESC singer to win an award this year: Ani Lorak, Philipp Kirkorov and Dima Koldun were laureates too.

The success of our dear ESC stars continues a tradition. In recent years several other Eurovision artists have received ‘The Golden Gramophone’ award including Alsu, Diana Gurtskaya, t.A.T.u, Serebro and Verka Serduchka. Back in 2007, Serebro, Verka Serduchka and Dima Koldum even performed their Eurovision entries during the ceremony. In 2008 Patricia Kaas revealed ‘Et s’il fallait le faire’, her entry for Moscow 2009.

The ceremony will be broadcast on Russia’s First Channel — the host channel of Eurovision 2015 in Russia — just before Christmas.

@eurovision-berlin, Verka Serdyuchka was popular in Russia long before Eurovision… And after Eurovision. Don’t write things you don’t know.

Oh, then we can follow a Russian show with stars from Ukraine during Christmas. Very interesting. Especially that Verka Serduchka will sing in Russian tv Lasha Tumbai… hoho.
