Finnish broadcaster YLE has confirmed that the artists for Uuden Musiikin Kilpailu 2015 (UMK) will be revealed on January 13 at a special press conference. The show will be broadcast live, but it’s still unknown if it’s available worldwide (we’ll keep you informed!). Next year’s edition will be the show’s fourth. The results have been impressive so far. UMK has produced two Eurovision finalists, Krista Siegfrids and Softengine, in the past three years. That’s not bad for a country that has finished last on nine occasions.
YLE hasn’t given out any details about the number of demos it received or how the contest will proceed after the artists are presented. All we know is that all the shows will be live and Finland’s next Eurovision representative will be decided entirely by the public.
We already made up our list of who we would like to see in UMK 2015, but who do you want to see fighting for the ticket to Vienna? Tell us in the comment section below!
