Girl group O’G3NE have been crowned winners of this year’s The Voice of Holland . You may remember them from Junior Eurovision 2007, when they represented the Netherlands as Lisa, Amy and Shelley. They finished 11th with their song “Adem In, Adem Uit”, receiving 39 points.
Four acts made it to the final, two coached by Marco Borsato and one each from team Ali B and team Trijntje Oosterhuis (aka Traincha). The fourth coach, Common Linnets’ songstress Ilse De Lange, had no finalists, but at least she could console herself with the 238 points she earned in Copenhagen. O’G3NE gave three performances. First a duet with Alain Clark, the man once rumoured to be in the running to represent the Dutch in Vienna.

Next they gave an encore of their audition song “Emotion”.

At the midway point, two acts were eliminated. O’G3NE survived to battle it out with Sjors van der Panne, who was also coached by Marco. The trio performed “Magic”. And with 53.7% of the total votes, the rest is history.

This is a busy weekend for Eurovision stars in TV talent shows. Moldova’s 2013 representative, Aliona Moon, came fourth in The Voice of Romania, while Simon Webbe of Blue, the UK’s 2011 Eurovision act, is currently in the final of Strictly Come Dancing.

i do like “walk along”as the 2015 dutch entry but would loved it to have been “magic” by og3ne
They have to go to Eurovision in 2016. The Voice of Holland could be the Netherlands’s new unofficial selection method, like what Golos is to Russia.
Yesss! I’m so happy for them 🙂 Eurovision 2016!
