Tonight, 15 artists and bands will sing at Eurofest 2015 — Belarus’ national selection for Eurovision. You can watch live at 20:00 CET on the eurovision.tv web player. If our fan poll and web jury are indicators, then MILKI should cruise to victory with their song “Accent.”
For several weeks, the team at wiwibloggs has been running a mini Wiwi Jury – won by MILKI. Separate to this, we have also been running a fan poll. Our readers cast a total of 1,590 votes. Our accents may or may not be the same as our readers , but our music tastes certainly are, as MILKI has also won our fan poll.
We have combined the results of both rankings, and, barring any “voting miscalculations”, MILKI seems like the best choice to represent Belarus in Vienna. Mr. Rybak, get ready! There will be five other girls with you in Albania on Sunday!
Below you can see our combined results, and then the individual results from our fan poll and our Wiwi Jury rankings.
Who do you want to see come out on top? Who do you think actually will? Let us know!

*To break any ties, we looked at how many jurors preferred a particular entry. In the case of Anastasia Malashkevich and Tasha ODI, four jurors preferred Tasha ODI and three preferred Anastasia Malashkevich. In the case of Uzari & Maimuna and Aleksey Gross, each was preferred by three jurors, while one juror liked both equally, therefore awarding them both the same jury score.
Well, this had a happy ending. The Wiwi jury got it wrong. They were not even close. The song they rated 10th was chosen. Happily I never have to hear Accent again.
Belarus – nul points in Vienna
am i the only one who has this bad sound quality?
I think Milki should win too. Not because Rybak wrote the song, but more because it´s one of the few songs among these songs that I like or can remember after three listens 😛 And I like it the most of these songs. If there would´ve been more competition I likely would´ve gone for others, but in this NF Milki is clearly the best if you ask me. Not sure how they would do in my final ESC ranking though, I guess somewhere between #10 and #25. :p
if milki wins it will be huge fanwank we all know it, only because the writher is alexander rybak
Alex Rybak did a very good job with Franklin at the Malese ESC qualifier, and I thought the song was worth more than the 5th-place showing, and probably would have finished in the top-half of the final draw. Obviously he wouldn’t have got involved in the ESC again unless he could send someone with the potential to finish in the top 10. I think the concept behind Milki’s song, along with the group itself, could do just that. 1. Milki: “Accent”, 9.38 2. Beatrys: “Fighter”, 9.24 3. Vitaliy Voronko: “Drive”, 9.24 4. Janet: “Supernova”, 9.22 (there are more songs titled… Read more »
@Deven – They’re actually singing in Belarusian, I believe.
Milki’s song may be the most overrated I’ve heard in a very long time and I actually think if it wasn’t written by Rybak it wouldn’t have the love it does. I don’t think Milki will qualify and if they do they won’t come anywhere near winning. I really love the songs by Janette, Uzari & Maimuna, Napoli, Beatrys, and Valeria Sadovskaya’s isn’t bad at all so hopefully one of them win. However, Daria’s is probably one of the worst songs I’ve heard in my entire life.
Milki outclass rivals
I completely agree with the winners of these polls. Milki needs to take the trophy tonight!
I hope uzari and maimuna will win! I can’t get it out of my head
@ADRSWE Daria has a very weak song this year and if she goes to Vienna, she will probably fail to qualify.
I also like MILKI and would like them to win but I think that Daria is very underrated. If MILKI doesn’t win then I’m rooting for Daria actually 😀
I get the feeling that if MILKI win in Belarus, they will have one of the most memorable songs in Vienna. I can definitely see them being one of the favourites to win. Lets look at some facts: 1. They are singing in English and Russian. That is clever because they will pick up votes from both Western and Eastern televoters and juries. 2. They are singing a Western leaning song with Eastern European instrumentals. 3. The line ”My la la la la, My la la la la, my accent is the same” will inflict on the viewers’ minds and… Read more »
I hope Milki wins indeed! They sound like chocolate.
Yeah, Milki! I hope they perform well in Vienna and go to the final!
Great rankings. Good luck MILKI!
