It’s getting hot in Georgia, y’all! Last week Georgian Public Broadcaster GPB announced the five lucky acts who will participate in the national final on January 14. They are: Nina Sublatti, Misha Sulukhia, Eteri Beriashvili, Niutone Band and Edward Meison. GPB will reveal all five of their competing songs on December 31. Ahead of that momentous announcement, we’ll introduce you to each of the acts and give you more of a flavor for their music. Next up is Misha.

Twenty-five-year-old Misha Sulukhia is a singer from Tbilisi. He is a man of many genres, performing pop, alternative, rock and even classical music. He can play the violin, guitar, flute, piano and saxophone, and tells us he has a preference for classical music, jazz and electronica. We’d love to see the mix on his most-played list…

Misha Sulukhia 1

He graduated from the Zakaria Paliashvili Central Music School and later the Vano Sarajishvili Tbilisi State Conservatoire, and went on to win a number of singing contests. Misha rose to prominence after taking part on Georgia’s “Star Academy”, where he made it all the way to the finals. I guess you could call him a star pupil. He went on to cooperate with the Symphony Orchestra G. Handel and completed a master class with Professor Richard Levitt.
