Melodifestivalen 2015 starts on 7 February. SVT has decided it’s the perfect time to broadcast a documentary about Melodifestivalen 2014 to whet your appetitite for all the glitter-and-pyro drama that will unfold later this year. You can watch it here.

Producers take us behind the scenes of all the Melodifestivalen 2014 shows, show us the artists before and after they go on stage and dish out plenty of other behind-the-scenes clips. It doesn’t matter if you’re a fan of Ace, Anton, Linus or Alcazar — you can all enjoy it. We just wonder where Helena Paparizou went while they were making the documentary, as she is M.I.A.

If you’re just into Eurovision and less into Melodifestivalen, you can simply watch the end of the show where we get to follow Sanna Nielsen on her journey to the Eurovision Song Contest Semi-Final and Grand Final in Copenhagen.

You don’t have to know Swedish in order to enjoy the show — the magic and glamour of Melodifestivalen is universal and doesn’t need translating!

This may be a doc about last year, but we also get our first look at the 2015 participants. That’s reason enough to watch it, right?

The absence of Helena Paparizou is very odd. It’s like SVT have disappeared her from Melfest history! Was she not popular with the show’s producers or something?

My fave scene from the documentary is one of the few English bits. JTR, who were contestants on the X Factor in Australia, are talking about their history. Suddenly, in English, one of them says – in a perfect Australian accent – “It’s those guys from X Factor”.
