Nina

Nina Sublatti will represent Georgia at Eurovision 2015 in Vienna with “Warrior”. The Georgian people had been voting for the last two weeks and the result was finally revealed during a special show today.

So far this year’s line up is a little bland. Hopefully all songs will be done up. If so they will all be fantastic. But for now, not that great…

If the public votes are accurate, totally not surprised about Band “Niutone” getting 2nd place. I don’t like the song as it feels like its 2 different songs going on at once, and that’s not about the genre, but simply that song itself. And look, Misha got 4th place in the public vote? Knew it would be WAY wrong from the WiWi readers’ poll, which usually is wrong itself.

I see, you are interested in public votes too. Here they are:

Nina Sublatti – 38.1%
Band “Niutone” – 31.9%
Eter Beriashvili – 14%
Misha Sulukhia – 10%
Edvard Meison – 5.9%

It was the best of the five, so congrats Georgia, but in my opinion, nothing outstanding from the rest of the already selected entries, it’s in fact one of my least favourites so far. However I recognize it has potential, so like many others, I hope it gets re-worked and then maybe I’ll get to like it.

I love her the fact that she looks so gothic. And I wish they will revamp the song into a dark/gothic version of it.

I actually don’t like it, to be honest. It feels weak, especially compared to Malta’s entry. But who knows, maybe it will grow on me after some polishing.

If the song is remade then I’d get into it more. Or maybe they’ll remix it like Hungary in 2013.

Still, my list is as follows:

1. Albania (don’t change the lyrics plz! Remember last year)
2. The Netherlands (Might work, might not)
3. Malta (get some bomb-ass vocals and you got a top 10!)
4. Belarus (Eurotrash but good enough for the final. We still love Belarus. Never change)
5. Georgia (Revamp and we’ll talk)
6. Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia (the Balkans might like it but Serbia and Lithuania’ll come stronger)

Still waiting on Russia… Any day now…

Best of the bunch, I really like the feel of it especially at the beginning. But, lose interest half way through with the “Oooo-ooo I’m a wa-wire”. Needs to work on the English, but definitely one of the better ones so far. Big improvement on last year! Good luck, Georgia.

It was the best in the NF but I hope it will be revamped. I think the song is a bit boring now.

I’m so happy right now! This is the first time that my favorite in the National Finals has won! :’D

You go Nina! You go wave Georgia’s flag with pride!

Also, I think my faith on the National Finals juries has been restored. It’s about time we see a jury who actually picks a good song as the winner!
