Mi Amore is a cheap copy of “A Moment Like This”. Enough of these outdated songs!

I am alone who hear something from Vanessa Paradis “Joe Le Taxi” in “Hotel A”?

After listening to all of them I think the best ones are “Love Me, Love Me”, “Mi Amore” and “Hotel A”, but the first two songs sound amazingly similar to Azerbaijan’s 2009 entry “Always On My Mind” and Denmark’s 2010 entry “In a Moment Like This” respectively, so all in all I’d rather see “Hotel A” in Vienna but I’d be happy if any of the other two songs win.

I tend to believe that “Mi amore” is the only song who can compete in the first semifinal. Do not forget that there are Romania, Greece and Russia, three countries that will qualify without doubt in the final even if the songs are not chosen, but I am sure that they will be amazing. So…Denmark…make a good a choice and send “Mi amore” to Vienna!

1. Anti Social Media – The Way You Are 2. Anne Gadegård – Suitcase 3. Tina & René – Mi Amore 4. World of Girls – Summer Without You 5. Cecilie Alexandra – Hotel A 6. Sara Sukurani – Love Me Love Me 7. Babou – Manjana 8. Julie Bjerre – Tæt På Mine Drømme 9. Marcel & Soulman Group – Når Veje Krydses 10. Andy Roda – Love is Love What an embarrassing time it is to be a Dane. I’m not proud. There are for me 3 songs that I like enough to not mind them winning. Anti… Read more »

My favourite: Tina & René – Mi Amore.
Regarding Sara Sukurani. Maybe I’m right, maybe not: http://youtu.be/msqlAcBvpa8

Also, fun fact:
With Greece, Romania, and Denmark in the same-semifinal, Sukarani is actually the latters’ best chance at survival in the semi-final. Denmark needs a really infectious dance tune to pass by those two.
Option two is to have a song that can kiss up to the Armenia/Belarus/Russia/Georgia bloc, which Denmark doesn’t have. (who let all the ex-soviet countries participate in one semi-final, anyways?)

The only song that works for me is Sara Sukurani’s ‘Love Me Love Me,’ and even that sounds like it’s a bootleg amalgamation of ‘Aphrodisiac,’ ‘My Number One,’ and ‘Dum Dum Tek.’ Everything else is… sub-par.
Love the videos, though. Very creative to see what the artists do with their surroundings.

I like the line up. We need a’ Mi Amore’ type song even thou we seen it before. But what’s Eurovision with a duo singing in the face of a wind machine. Suitcase got me. Ill have a re-listen later.

I’d be happy with either Julie Bjerre or Anne Gardegaade but I don’t really like any of the songs this year as opposed to last year when I enjoyed almost all of the songs.
I don’t see a top 10 for Denmark this year. They may not even qualify from their semi as it is the much more competitive one (which is ironic despite it having less countries in it).

Why are people complaining? Let’s be honest, most of the songs are better than ‘Cliché Love Song’. Some of the songs could even reach the top 10. I would like Mi Amore if it wasn’t a copy, such a shame. So for now it is: – Sara Sukurani – Love Me Love Me: I love the summer vibe, but it’s not the best summer song in Eurovision history. 7/10 – Cecilie Alexandra – Hotel A: Is it just me or does this sounds like a Tove Lo song mixed with Gotye – Somebody That I Used To Know? It’s something… Read more »

The worst edition of the Dansk Melodi Grand Prix. I really dislike all of them. The Super Final will be like: World of Girls, Tina & Rene and Babou or Anti Social Media. Really weak year.

Just to add I was crushed when Wanna Be Loved didn’t win last year because it was the best song I came across for last years Eurovision Contest. Hopefully Denmark gets it right this year

“Manjana” fan all the way to the final results. Hopefully, I’ll be right. 🙂 In other news, “Hotel A” & “Love is Love” round up my preferred ones. As for the rest entries, good luck. I just one simple question – when you as a producer know that you have a song that is basically a rip-off of something else (“In a moment like this”, which ironically – was a rip-off of something else) and you still force it to your top 10 contestants – you either are deaf or contractually obliged to show the song in question. I have… Read more »

Wow what a strong selection! My favourite by far is Suitcase! I love the whistling the little beat simple lyrics. The melody is just perfect and this could really be worked on a stage! I also love Summer without You! Sounds so great but live vocals might not be as good. Love Me Love Me oh how I love you! Love the beat and the instrumental! It’s so so fun and probably my fave beat. But it’s still not as good as Suitcase! Mi Amore is awesome! But is the beat a little too much like Denmark 2010? I still… Read more »

WOW, “Suitcase” is just so chill. Would love to see that on a big Eurovision-stage. One thing is for certain though, even if it doesn’t win (although I will of course root for it) I will listen to it throughout the summer. So chill and summery! GO ANNE! 😀

Well I think ‘Manjana’ could be cool on stage. No one of the others can contribute with something new, I think…

By the way, “manjana” must be in an African tongue, I don’t think it is “mañana” (tomorrow) in Spanish.

My Thoughts: -Sara Sukurani with “Love Me Love Me” – This song is basically a mix of every song Greece and Turkey have sent for the last 15 years. It’s catchy and fun, but a typical Eastern Mediterranean entry. Not bad at all, just not original. 6/10 -Tina & René with “Mi Amore” – It’s really amazing how if this wins it’ll be the first song to compete in Eurovision twice….wait….this isn’t Chanée & N’Evergreen singing “In A Moment Like This”?? Oh. I do find it really funny though how G:son will basically copy his own entire song, but because… Read more »

I’m disappointed. I expected a better quality from Denmark. Most of the songs sound cheap and so commercial… Anne Gardegaard’s song is the best of them, however.

i think World of girls or Julie bjerre.

But you can be sure that Denmark is going to pick Babou, cause danish viewers loves this kind of music.
