Ever since the announcement that Russia will participate in Eurovision 2015, rumors have swirled that the winner of the Russian edition of “The Voice” will fly the Russian flag in Vienna. We watched with excitement as Alexandra Vorobyova grabbed victory on the show. Since then everybody in Russia and outside has been waiting for Russia’s Channel One to name Alexandra as this year’s Eurovision act. Looks like we’re going to have to keep waiting…

In a recent interview with “Love Radio” Alexandra stated that nobody has offered her a spot on the Eurovision stage. However, she said that she would love to go to Vienna if there is a chance. She says that as a singer and a fan. Alexandra also said that she tries to watch the contest every year, and follows all of the news and trends closely.

But what if Channel One calls on her?

She said that if even though she hasn’t received a proposal from the Russian broadcaster, neither has anyone else. There is still a chance that we will see her in Austria.

If we do, what would her entry be like? Most fans, including some members of our team, have argued that her song would be a bit boring, like Dina Garipova’s in 2013. But in the interview she said that she didn’t show her style on The Voice because her style is more “crazy”, something like Sia’s “Chandelier”, which she performed during the blind auditions and which you can listen to below. She is writing her own song now and, who knows, maybe it will represent Russia…

I will die of happiness if they send either Sergey Lazarev or Yaroslav Dronov.

I think Nyusha would be a great choice for Russia. She is current and could do very well for Russia at Eurovision ????

Yulia Volkova feat. Timati would be best Russia’s choice. Their biggest star, perfect voices, interesting and original music style.

Anyone from Russia would gather points, boring or not. Wouldn’t be surprised if Russia pulls a winner out there butt and hosts a Eurovision with holograms, ULTRA HD LED screens, and P*ssy Riot in a cage performing the national anthem of the Soviet Union.

Actually, I would watch that. Lol
