Tonight we watched the final ten acts take the stage for A Dal 2015 in Hungary. The jury could send five acts directly to the semis, while the public could save one of the remaining five. Tonight was something of an all-star cast: Kati Wolf is the biggest name in the contest, and our readers have cast BOGGIE as her biggest rival. A Dal veterans Fool Moon were there, as was fangirl fave Spoon.

In the end, the jury gave its highest marks to BOGGIE, followed by Kati WolfOther Planet, Bálint Gájer and Zoltán Mujahid. We’ll see all of them in the semis.

A Dal: third semi-final qualifiers

Boggie – Wars For Nothing 46pts.

Kati Wolf – Ne engedj el 45 pts.

Other Planet – Untold Story 42 pts.

Bálint Gájer – That’s How It Goes 40 pts.

Zoltán Mujahid – Beside You 39 pts.

The sixth qualifier

While those five acts started their celebrations, the other five acts faced an agonizing wait for the public to decide who it would save.

Barbara Péter – Listen To The Universe 30 pts.
Ildikó Keresztes – Hazám, Hazád Lehet 37 pts.
Fool Moon – Back To Right 32 pts.
Spoon – Keep Marching On 38 pts.
Proof Of Life – Hol A Határ 37 pts.

The public decided to save Spoon and their song Keep Marching On. Fan girls: You can breathe easy!

For me Boggie is very powerfull.Wars for nothing is superb.I see it winning in Viena. Why not. As for Wolf Kati it was average and not pitch perfect, and I dont see the hype about that song.

Hungary, I love you, but I think your jury is trying to screw you over! I don’t understand how so many songs with out of tune performances are getting through, and the good acts have to be saved by the televote! Just make it all televoting! For example, you have Spoon that even has the harmonies in tune, compared to Other Planet, whose lead singer struggled with being off key. Yet Spoon needs to be saved by the televote? That said, Kati Wolf is just amazing! Still such a strong voice as she had in 2011. Boggie, though not my… Read more »

Don’t like boggie, it’s a dull christmas song, with cliched lyrics.

I prefer Gajer Balint’s song. it’s nice , good vocals and the phrase ‘i’m not coming out’ is hilarious 😛

Wow. Wars for Nothing was very powerful. All in all quite fine with who made it through this show. I would have switched some of the acts but still a good lineup.

Everyone else was good, though. Balint Gajer had a great song and good voice, Zoltan an awesome voice, and Spoon was just great (and not bad to look at either). Kati’s vocals were superb, though her song would probably appeal more to me if I understood the lyrics. The melody’s not that memorable.

I also liked the little that I heard during the live broadcast of Proof of Life’s entry.

Listening to Other Planet now… holy crap, talk about missing notes. For almost the entire song he was sharp!!! How did the jury not rate him lower?

Fool Moon was one of my favorites last year but I didn’t really like their song this year.

Happy with the top 2 though, for the first time my favorite won their NF (semi) 😀

Other Planet – Untold story was the best. I love his voice,it reminds me of Switzerland 2012 Unbreakable. The song is nothing special of course but it’s my favourite one. Kati didn’t impress me. Her dress is just awful and also the staging. The song is average, catchy and “fresh” but still very average. It’s basically the same thing as her What About My Dreams. I listened to Boggie’s song 3 times till now (barely) but I simply can’t understand what you all see in that boring and emotionless song. Her voice is nothing special either,I don’t understand. It’s like Russia… Read more »

So happy that Wars For Nothing scored the highest at the Third Heat. I think she is good to go for Vienna especially because of her powerful song. She just needs to fix the staging a bit and she’ll be on her way to giving Hungary a Top 10 or Top 5 finish!

Boggie does all of the things right which Giannis does wrong. Pitch perfect, beautiful atmosphere, she easily has the best song in the competition. My new favourite.

@D I think that’s just her singing style – she’s not a wrought, emotional singer

I’m happy with the qualifiers, I might change some things here and there but nothing disappoints me. As for Boggie, she seems a little emotionless on stage. Sounded great but her singing this song seemed a little fake. Kati was great though.

I wouldn’t be mad if Boggie had won everything and went off to ESC instead of Kati Wold. But I still prefer Kati.

Boggie was wonderful. Fool Moon sounded a bit off for some reason – the mixing was off, maybe? Either that or they just didn’t quite have the same enthusiasm that they did last year.
