Cinematic wonder! Aram MP3 releases music video for “Help”

Aram Mp3 — Armenian pop star and  TV personality — has released a magical new video for his latest single “Help.” It’s a mini-masterpiece and makes us feel like we’re watching a movie.

In it Aram walks through an other-worldly landscape where he encounters fantastical images — oversized matchboxes, cans, chess pieces, fish and dragonflys. Shot in black and white, it’s eerie and stirring, and there is meaning in all of it. The Help lyrics, which you can read below, suggest that no matter what the circumstances, you’ve got to rely on yourself to pull through: “Sometimes you get up, Sometimes you fall down, either you man up, or get used to being out of count…”

Taken further, Aram’s team tells us, the video says that “people need to change themselves in order to change the world.”

Overall, the styling and cinematography continue the drama we fell in love with at Eurovision 2014. It’s further testament to Aram’s movement from funny man to serious artist.

ARAM MP3 – HELP

Garik Papoyan, who is part of Aram’s singing comedy troupe the Vitamin Club, has written the lyrics of the song, while Aram Mp3 composed the melody. Grigor Gasparyan, who directed the video clip for ”Not Alone”, also works his magic here.

“As soon as Aram presented me the melody, I immediately got the emotions he wanted to pass to the audience,” Papoyan said at the premiere. “So I composed the lyrics according to the material presented to me”.

Aram Mp3 represented Armenia in the Eurovision Song Contest 2014. He performed seventh in the grand final, and ultimately finished fourth in the contest with 174 points.
