The first heat of Melodifestivalen 2015 may have seen Eric Saade and Jessica Andersson come out as the winners on the night, but it seems that Molly Pettersson Hammar is having the last laugh right now. That’s because despite being eliminated in the first round, her song “I’ll Be Fine” is currently number one on Swedish iTunes!

In amongst the whirlwind of controversy about the result of last night’s heat, the three eliminated songs and the two songs in Andra Chansen were released on to the Swedish iTunes store. Whilst it’s normal for the eliminated songs to be released, it’s the first time that the Andra Chansen songs have had a simultaneous release. Of course, this means that Molly is charting higher than both Dolly Style (currently #5) and Behrang Miri & Victor Crone (currently #14)…

Elize Ryd & Rickard Soderberg are also charting higher than the two Andra Chansen acts, which is hardly doing much to affirm SVT’s claims that the public just didn’t get behind “I’ll Be Fine” and “One by One”. Whilst there’s bound to be some discrepancy between those buying on iTunes and overall voters, you’d probably expect youth oriented songs like “Hello Hi” and “Det rar vi inte for” to be doing about as well…

Still, it’s all about Molly right now and it’s a big “congratulations” that we want to send out to her. Here’s hoping that she can capitalise on this success – might we even see her back in Melodifestivalen in 2016? And also, to her record label, Warner Music, we have one thing to say: give this girl an international release, please!

In classic MF fashion … Sweden only realises how pathetic it was to exclude this girl and this awesome song after the elimination is done … being number 1 does mean something … that something did not make sense last saturday evening, except that Björkman wants Eric to be in Eurovision again … maybe the tables will turn and Eric will suffer the biggest downfall of his career … he need that to finally grow up.

The songs that got into the final are not in the top 10 or anywhere on the chart because they weren’t released on iTunes yet.

I’m literally hooked on this song. The best song. It would probably have done extremely well in Vienna. Oh well, Sweden’s loss.

Sorry for the Swedish audience, that they weren’t able to appreciate what they have here (live performance at melfest): http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x2go6xe_molly-pettersson-hammar-i-ll-be-fine_auto Hope Molly “will be fine”

Eric’s probably going to Vienna not because of the song, it’s because he’s Eric.

If that happens, I’m wishing for another Anna Bergendahl moment

She was robbed and she deserves an apology for the app f*ck-up.

You know? At the end of the day I think it was a good thing for her then, this only proves her song is actually good, she just wasn’t appreciated during the semi final, which is a pity.

Also, loving the irony of the situation vs the name of the song, because indeed, she seems to be doing just fine 😛

This girl ROCKS!
Seriously, how she isn’t in the final?
“I’ll be fine” would be, definitely, in the top 5 of Eurovision.
My favorite song of yesterday.

So when is melfest actually going to discover they’ve killed their chances eliminating this song? No way Eric is going to storm Eurovision with that song..

I’ve watched the replay because I’ve watched live the DK one. This song was fierce and alive. Powerfull! Among the ones that got in, the Behrand’s song was nice; the Eric’s one was overlyproduced and it was clearly Bjorkman’s favorite. The Dollies were LOL, and that other chick that got direct ticket I can’t remember her now. To be honest, I liked the overall look of Eric’s presentation – the song was just his soundtrack for his gimmics but if this goes to Vienna, the whole point of ESC as a SONG contest will be ridiculed. The same with the Dollies.… Read more »

Because problem with voting all 3 songs from 5 to 7 place willi be gave spot in second chance contest with other 8 song. We have 12 songs in final, why we don’t have 11 song in second chance instead 8.

Solution: During Andra Chansen give the public a chance to vote for one eliminated song to join the final as a wildcard. Molly in, problem sorted! 🙂

I really can’t explain how she finished 7th(!!).. :O Not only she did not qualify directly getting one of the first 2 tickets 4 the Finalen… Not only she did not even go to Andra Chansen that im positive to claim that she would had get one of the first 4 spots there that would earn her the ticket 4 Friends Arena.. But she did not even beat not only her others 2 eliminated competitors or even a single one of them with result to end up LAST! Thats really messed up! I really wonder what went so wrong with… Read more »

“Hello Hi” is clearly a big favourite if it’s in the Top 5 meaning it should a big favourite to make it past Andra Chansen.

Deserved! This just has to be the fault of the app. In the netherlands we also have some tv shows that work with apps and they basicly never work and receive lots of bad reviews it would be better to just not use this method

@ I Agree with Marcus…
It would NOT be really unfair 4 the other eliminated acts if she was given 4 a first and exceptional time the precious wildcard 4 the Friends Arena Final..! :))
@ Agree with Dar as well…She could even finish top 5 ~ top3 or even WIN in Vision with this diamond gem masterpiece song! <3

Honestly her song deserve to even be direct qualifier to the Friends Arena Grand Final…Really un4tunate that she was eliminated..! What factors can you blame 4 her failure..?? Because she was performing first..? Because of the application’s fault..? Because the other jealous full of envy competitors like Eric & Jessica sabotaged her.. ? 😛 Because of the illuminati conspiracy..? 😛 If i was in her place i would have had opened my mouth like this as well being dead surprised that i would be out of the race that early ! Really criminal & tragic that she did not pass… Read more »

Björkman’s never gonna admit this is the app’s fault, so there’s no point in hoping for a wildcard or anything. Good for Molly though, I hope “I’ll Be Fine” goes number-one on Sverigetopplistan (the Swedish music) chart while Eric and Jessica don’t chart at all.

This clearly shows her song was one of the favourites of the night.
The app killed this and One By One.
SVT should give them a wildcard or at least an apology.
