Trijntje

Trijntje Oosterhuis dazzled on stage at the Ladies of Soul Concert with ‘Walk Along’.

A vision in emerald, Trijntje Oosterhuis was taking no prisoners with her soulful rendition of her entry for Eurovision 2015 ‘Walk Along’.

The dreamy country-pop ballad has a real emotional wow factor on stage and the vulnerability of ‘Walk Along’ has been dialled up a million times since her performance on The Voice of Holland last year.

The performance may have been largely static, but somehow Miss Trijntje Oosterhuis don’t need no expressive choreography to put across the survival message in ‘Walk Along’.

Relying on a trusty Eurovision wind machine, her stellar voice and the super catchy refrain she owned the stage and we can’t wait to see Trijntje rock the stage in Vienna during the First Semi-Final.

Trijntje Oosterhuis’s Road to Eurovision

Trijntje was confirmed as the Netherlands act for Eurovision 2015 way back in November 2014.

‘Walk Along’ premiered on Dutch Radio in December 2014 and last month Trijnte was drawn to perform in the first half of the First Semi-Final. And we can’t wait.

What do you think of the Ladies of Soul performance? Do you think Trijnte Oosterhuis is a name to remember for the Grand Final? Or are you just left asking why, why-ai-ai-aiiiiii? Comment below!

I love the singer, but I strongly dislike the song. Why, why-I-I-I, why-I-I-I? There is a song that’ll get on your nerves, get on your nerves, get on your nerves. Anouk (the 2013 Dutch contestant) actually co-wrote the song, so perhaps wiwibloggs should interview her instead and ask her why-I-I-I? 🙂
